This hotel was the worst experience we have ever had ! We booked for 7 people (2 double room for couples and a triple for parents and son) and we paid 280 dollars for 3 nights for the double and a little more for the triple which was WAY TO EXPENSIVE for what we got. The rooms were very very...

I booked a single room for five nights but when i arrived there was no single room only a room with eight beds. There was a congress and they overbooked the rooms. When i said that i want a single room they offer a very small room without a window with only a matrass on the floor. After two nights i...

I stayed at this hostel after the hostel in which I had made a reservation (Petra Hostel) said they were full (in my view, had deliberately overbooked) and transferred (sold?) five of us to the New Palm Hotel. We were immediately confronted by the manager who was aggressive and rude - yelling at a group of older (senior citizen) travelers...

Time of Stay:July / August 2010. About 2 weeks with discontinuations. What I expected: A nice and friendly hostel, cozy with places to hang out with other travelers, to have a chat and a drink over the experiences we have made during the day. The price per night is pretty cheap so I did expect a decent hostel with decent...

I've stayed 3 days in the new Palm Hostel, and enjoyed it very much. There is plenty of common space to meet and talk with other travellers and the palestinian staff. You can use the kitchen, drink free coffee and tea and use the fast s-dsl internet. How can someone write a bad review? I only saw luckey tourists and...

Very run down building but this is the standard of all the buildings in this area. The room was a reasonable size but the mattress was very old, and so the bed linen. The (all male) staff were attentive and trying really hard to build their business up. Its certainly not luxurious but if you're willing to have a bit...

Friendly staff, nice hotel, nice simple room - good for the price I paid, and in walking distance of Damascus gate! Right next to a few shops, and cafe so ideal if you are on your own. If you are looking for somewhere convenient I would recommend.

This place is in the best possible location, almost opposite the Damascus Gate to the Old City. It is budget accommodation taken to the extreme. The tiniest room possible, and a tiny window opening onto a stairwell. Nights do get cold in Jerusalem and they do not provide sufficient blankets to keep warm. The breakfast was fine, buffet style so...

First of all their location is the best thing we can say, very near to the Damascus gate so you can enter the old city around fifteen minutes. Rooms are small, breakfasts are OK. But the house keeping is terrible also the rooms are not clean and my room was airless because there was not real window. But to tell...
