I stayed at the 5 bed dorm at this hostel and the room (number 11) was absolutely horrendous. The beds were put in every possible corner 2 were cramped together they looked more as a double bed than single ones other, 2 were put in a sort of a corridor before the bathroom doors, there was no space to leave...

The Jaffa Gate Hostel is located directly at the Jaffa Gate in Jerusalem and from the Top of the Hostel you have a beautiful view over the top of the city of jerusalem. We made a private tour lasting around 5 hours with a guy we met on the street called 'Josef'. We are from germany and he was able...

Stayed in the 4 bed (5 person) ensuite room. The recommendation for this hostel is based on this room only. The room is in a cave (almost literally) with no windows and no ventilation. There is no free airflow and with the bathroom in the same room it is a bit humid smelling. The room is vaulted with sandstone so...

The hostel is way too much expensive for its acommodations and the worse thing is that it dont serves breakfast. It is not that clean, the rooms dont have heaters and the shower is warm but it doesnt stay fixed on the wall, so you get cold when you put the shampoo on your head, for example. But the staff...

We stayed in a shared dorm room the first night (we were 3 of 5) and it was incredibly dusty, old wool blankets, somewhat pushy on their own tours. The second night we moved to a private room which was only slightly better. I would not stay here again.

It is a good value for this price. The atmosphere is very nice and welcoming. The staff is friendly and very helpful. Noor explained us what to see and how to get there. His great hospitality makes us feel like home. And the view from the roof top is really amazing!!

Right, first off its not the King David but if you want to pay through the nose in what frankly is a very expensive city and country then go and stay there. As many have mentioned on here the location is incredible and being able to sleep inside the old city walls is a real thrill. Facilities? What do you...

I have stayed in a lot of hostels and Jaffa gate was one of the worst in terms of facilities. That being said, I am giving it an average rating because the people who work there are so sweet and accommodating and its location is killer. The rooms are small and humid and too many people are stuffed into them....
