Novotel Istanbul Bosphorus is often celebrated for its central location, making it a convenient base for city exploration. Guests have commended the professional and attentive service, though some have encountered inconsistencies. While the atmosphere is a blend of vibrant nightlife and clean rooms with views, areas in need of redesign have been noted.
The hotel's cleanliness is satisfactory, but could be improved in certain spots. Travelers enjoy the scenic breakfast and spa, but some find the hotel's value questionable, mentioning overpriced services and underwhelming room amenities.

Hotel's Favourite
We are staying 3 night in this hotel part of our 13 days Turkey tour. This is a beautiful hotel located downtown. Walking distance from almost everywhere. Breakfast on the top floor was superb and the view of Bosphorus river in the morning was gorgeous.
The room is nice and spacious, service was good and staff are very friendly. Definitely will stay here again when we visit Istanbul.

Very kind and high qualified staff in all positions, with positive & helpful approach.
Very good location, one block next to hotel you can use French Passage and reach lively long street with nice cafes and big variety of food.
This part is less crowded and more neat compared to many other touristic areas.
All historical spots are five to thirty minutes walking distance, and hotel arranges public taxi which costs not a lot, as distances are short.
Using ferry station in 5-7 minutes walking distance you can reach many others (ask reception).
We had a big comfort with child, thanks to reachability & big and nice interior of hotel and attentive staff.
Sound isolation is good, we stayed in fifth floor, didn't hear any noise from Galata Port construction.
Our room was one of few with Bosphorus view, it was excellent.
We had a nuisance during booking, later learnt out that it was not hotel’s fault.
Many thanks to Nurcan Hanım & Erkan Bey for finding solution fastly and for their kindness.
Catering in hotel lobby and room service is affordable, terrace restaurant serves good breakfast in spite of covid conditions, again very kind and attentive staff.

We just returned to UK today from Istanbul before the quarantine period kicks in. We stayed at Novotel and i am not usually a writer for reviews but had to do this one. Our stay was excellent, clean rooms, lovely polite staff, amazing breakfast views and sanitisation stations everywhere to keep us reassured. They gave free masks & anti bac gels every morning to all guests, extremely accommodating to any requests. And the best part, as we had to cut short our holiday, they agreed to refund for the remaining night. Excellent location, 5 mins walk to bosphorus river and 10 mins on taxi to everywhere including taksim square, hagia sophia etc. Would definitely stay here again. Highly recommended!!!!

Our first stay in Istanbul and we decided to stay in the Karakoy area as we’d heard about the restaurants around the area which didn’t dissapoint. Although we will come back to Istanbul and stay in the same area, we wouldn’t return to Novotel.
Noise: We were aware that our room location would not be sea facing but nobody warned us about the noise from the vents. We really struggled to sleep at night because of the constant noise coming from the vents and also chairs being scraped on the floor from the restaurant above. Would suggest getting noise cancelling ear plugs if you stay in a superior room as we really struggled to get to sleep.
Cleaning: Can see difference in cleaning compared to our stays in Cairo and Dubai. I guess a 4* hotel in Turkey has different cleaning standards. We asked for the beds to be changed and always noticed hear on the pillow cases and bed so weren’t sure if it had actually been changed.
Service: our luggage was taken from us when we entered but we were asked at the reception if we wanted it delivered to our rooms. I didn’t see the point of that. Upon checking out we had to wait a while for the cleaners to check if we had taken anything from the mini bar as they don’t take your word for it. Again perhaps a cultural thing but never been asked at hotel stays in other countries.
Shower: we kept getting a range of extremely hot or extremely cold water during the shower which was annoying and irritating on my skin.
Breakfast: never tried the breakfast since it was £20-£30 per head which is a surprising cost given that you can turn 1 minute and find loads of cafes that do amazing breakfast for a quarter of the price. We usually like trying breakfast for 1 night in a hotel but were already finding it difficult to sleep with the noise that it wasn’t worth waking up before 10 to try the breakfast. Especially for the prices that they were demanding.
Room dining: we like to try in room dining at other hotels but read online about how it was served which put us off from trying.
We wanted to stay at a hotel that was clean and somewhere we could rest after exploring Istanbul. Novotel didn’t achieve that.

We spent 2 nights here. The location is pretty good (a few minutes walk from the T1 Tophane stop). Our room was fine, with a few minor maintenance issues (toilet door was very noisy, curtain rings missing). Staff were pleasant enough.
Breakfast was quite nice, with table service and a menu of options to choose from.
Their COVID19 precautions are mostly just marketing bluster. At one point we spotted housekeeping cleaning a room with no mask on, and another staff member quickly pulled their mask up from their chin when they realized that we saw them. Considering how mask usage is the most effective precaution outside of quarantining, if the staff won't even take mask usage seriously, the rest of their 'stickers on doors' efforts ring hollow.
Its a true shame that their roof top restaurant, Murver, is not open for hotel guests. Its a true dining gem in the entire city, and we would have gone there without a second thought. The hotel's other room service option/restaurant is generic hotel food, and extremely overpriced for the quality offered.

+1
I stayed at this hotel from 29th October to 4th November. Will start with the good point. I got a room facing the Galata tower which was amazing at night time. The cleaning was top notch and the breakfast team were amazing and the view from the rooftop was beautiful especially during sunrise. The concierge were helpful in giving me direction when it wasn’t necessary to use a cab and overall polite. Now the bad point were the check in team, my husband made the reservation and requested for early check in which he got affirmative response, the reservation also included breakfast. I arrived around 10:30 am and I was informed that there wasn’t any room available! Fair enough it was the republic day and the hotel was fully booked. However the reception was so non challant as to where I could stay before then. I sat at the lounge area to stretch my legs and after about an hour a cleaner comes to wake me up saying that the throw pillow on the chair fell. He was very aggressive as if he was going to fight with me. After this I walked outside to some cafes and had something to eat. I returned by 1pm and still no available room. I decided to walk around again. By 2:25pm I got a room but the reception informed me that breakfast wasn’t included in my room. I was perplexed!!! After making payment of 1,470 usd!!!! For 6 nights. I asked him to check because my husband surely made the reservation with breakfast. He was adamant that there wasn’t any breakfast and I have to pay. Probably because I am black he thought I can’t afford the breakfast. I was so tired at the point and I just needed to rest. I went to bed and by the next morning I had no breakfast. By evening I called my husband to complain and he insisted the reservation included breakfast! Behold I went back to the reception to complain and I was told it included breakfast. Yet no one called my room to inform me about the mix up! No refunded for the days I missed breakfast. This was so upsetting and killed the happy moment I wanted at the hotel. As I said over all the cleaning, breakfast team and concierge were helpful but the reception team need to do better.

I spent 5 nights in early December 2020 at the Novotel Istanbul Bosphorus. It was my second choice after The Galata Istanbul Hotel MGallery cancelled my booking due to "sudden" lockdown. I have no regret staying at Novotel Bosphorus . The room was big and clean( I had a junior suite). The breakfast was copious and the view on Fatih and the Bosphorus during breakfast was a joy for the eyes. The staff is attentive and very prompt to answer my queries ( printing document, providing infos...). The location is also great : you can walk to Fatih to visit the Hagia Sophia, he blue mosque, the grand bazar etc and you can walk up the hill or take the cable car to Istiklal Caddesi . You can also easily catch a ferry from Karakoy terminal. Istanbul is definitely a city full of charm and character .

I recently stayed at the Novotel Bosphorus for 6 nights. I had considered changing my reservation to a nearby, "luxury" hotel where a family member was staying for twice the price. I am so glad that I didn't! The Novotel was sparkling clean, modern and quite comfortable. The staff was very accommodating and quite helpful, especially with making reservations, confirming tours and general information. The location is very good, right near the Bosphorus and the ferry terminal. A tram stop was just around the corner. Top notch restaurants and the most highly rated baklava bakery were both very close. The only issue I had with the hotel, which has nothing to do with the hotel itself, is that the waterfront is under construction. They are building a cruise ship terminal and a luxury hotel across the street, so it is essentially a construction zone. However, there was no construction noise in the room, so aside from being unsightly, it didn't change the quality of my stay. I would stay here again and will try other Novotel hotels when in Europe. I highly recommend this hotel for a fairly priced, pleasant stay. Thank you!

Hotel is located in a very busy location where you can walk around the corner to find shops & restaurants, the restaurant located on top floor of the hotel is also very nice with beautiful view of the river and the city and good food, a lot of choices for breakfast.
The room was good size with plenty of rooms to spread our two luggages. The lobby is small but nice & clean, the people at the lobby are very friendly and helpful especially when you need info where to go and directions.
However, during our visit, there were a lot of constructions going on around outside the hotel, so sometime it can get a little noisy.
Overall. we had a very nice & pleasant stay there.

Hotel is ideally situated to facilitate access to most attractions. A couple of minutes walk away from Tophane tram stop. From Tophane you can either travel north towards Dolmabahce or south towards Sultan Ahmet it also conveniently links up with Marmaray which is a line on the Metro system running from east to west on the coast line. You would have to change at Sirkeci station to connect with Marmaray.
Due to the current Covid crisis the self service breakfast buffet has been withdrawn instead its a waiter service. The waiters bring the food to your table. The waiters and waitresses were absolutely superb, very efficient and highly professional I was very impressed indeed. Bearing in mind their work load has increased exponentially they were exemplary. Rooms were comfortable, clean and spacious and the Hotel maintained to a high standard in terms of hygiene and cleanliness. Well done to all associated with this hotel, highly recommended

Hi there
When you want to book your hotel, there are different prices and if you book the price that includes breakfast you can have it on the rooftop restaurant ( I strongly suggest that because not only the quality is perfect but also you can enjoy the spectacular view)
However, the pool is free but for spa you should pay which actually the price is worthy.
Hope this helps
Have a good one
Yes.

private transportation from Istanbul Airport (IST) or Sabiha Gokcen Airport (SAW) to Novotel Istanbul Bosphorus for;
80 Euro one way (1-5 pax) (Istanbul Airport)
100 Euro one way (6-10) (Istanbul Airport)
90 Euro one way (1-5 pax) (Sabiha Gokcen Airport)
110 Euro one way (6-10) (Sabiha Gokcen Airport)
They have a spa, l realy don’t know.
I had been there more than 6 times and never went to the spa!
Yes if you booked rooms only, it doesn't come with breakfast for anyone. If you check bookings website you can get an idea of how much the breakfast cost per person.
While at Novotel we didn't book breakfast too largely because we wanted to try out the famous breakfast we read about (e.g Seven hills restaurant near the blue mosque) and also because there is a sea of restaurants starting from the alleyway next to the Novotel, lotttttssssss of restaurant. However, because you have kids it may be advisable to book breakfast with the hotel for ease.
Fun facts about Seven hills breakfast: They keep refilling the tea and bread once it finishes. They wont tell you this (or maybe it's because of the language barrier).
