My fiance and I stayed in the Lush Hip Hotel for 4 days and loved it! The standard double rooms are a bit small but the weather was rainy and cold and just added to the coziness of the place, the little balconies meant you could stand out over the street and feel the vibe. They are located on the...

Lush Hotel was perfect! Would highly recommend staying there if views from your room are not important to you. It's located one block from Taksim square, very convenient to access all of Istanbul's public transportation. It's also very close to Istiklal Caddesi, the main walking street which has tons of restaurants, bars, shopping, cafes, etc. I stayed in room 301...

We stayed at Lush Hotel for a week and found it to be merely average. The good aspects: the hotel is located in a great area, very close to Taksim Square; the breakfasts; and some of the staff. And for the not so good... We had arranged for an airport transfer with the hotel, but when we arrived in Istanbul,...

Lush Hip Hotel is in a renovated building 1 minute away from Taksin Square. However it is far removed from the noise and traffic of the area, so it is incredibly quiet, No 2 rooms are the same which makes the Lush unique. Parking is TYL20 per day. Very unusual set up - there is no conventional reception area -...

My boyfriend and I stayed here for 4 nights in mid-July after traveling through the Greek Islands for 3 weeks and this hotel was one of the highlights of our trip. It's very trendy and fashionably decorated - definitely has the feel of a high-class boutique hotel. The staff were very nice - upon checking in, one of the men...

I stayed at one of the Junior rooms and the decor was just like on the picture. The staff is very friendly and speak good English but the gym is just a small room of the last floor to with a little equipment only. This hotel is in an excellent location, if you like busy lively neighborhoods. Taksim is crowded...

I stayed at this hotel last week for four nights and was very pleased with what I got. having read the reviews on here I was expecting a nice hotel in the centre of the city and that's exackly what I got. The hotel and rooms are all very pleasently presented, the decor is of a very modern and high...

We spent a full week here while my partner attended a conference. It was definitely a trendy spot, in a great location if you want to get out and enjoy Beyoglu. The breakfast was amazing, the staff was super friendly - always had a piece of candy for our toddler, even though this is definitely more of a trendy/romantic destination...

We stayed at the Lush for 4 nights last week. We went for it after reading of it's fantastic location and the fact that it is not a branded hotel but more of a boutique hotel. First impressions of the outside of the hotel and the entrance were positive. It's really a "hip place". However the welcoming we received from...

We spent 6 nights in this funky little place not far from Istanbul's Taksim square, in the hip and happening part of town, Beyoğlu, and I have to say, it was one of the nicer places we've stayed in. We were in a comfy, quirkily decorated (part clean smooth lines, part rococo!) room, with a big bouncy bed and a...

Staying in Beyoglu

Neighbourhood Profile
Beyoglu
Istanbul’s most famous street, pedestrianized Istiklal Caddesi (Independence Avenue), throbs day and night and offers a fantastic array of architectural sights, shops, treats, and throngs upon teeming throngs of people. At the avenue’s northeastern end is expansive Taksim Square, thought by many to be the very heart of the city, with many of Turkey’s most renowned restaurants and some of Europe’s most happening nightlife in close proximity. In striking contrast, Beyoglu’s less trafficked areas – such as the affluent Cihangir and the antiques district of Cukurcuma – exude Old World charm and provide contemplative calm and splendid diversion via an assortment of cozy cafes, attractive boutiques, and quiet lanes.
