We spent two weeks on our own traveling around Turkey. Started our trip in Istanbul at the Tom Tom Suites (great), and ended at the Lush Hotel for the last two nights (a Friday and Saturday). Let me get to the point. The ENTIRE BUILDING vibrates on Friday and Saturday night until about 6 AM. They turn the downstairs breakfast...

Dear Mr. Robwash, Thank you for your kind comments about the staff and the hotel amenities. On your day of stay, it was our S14 Club and Dada Restaurant opening party where media and İstanbuls top Vips were invited. Im sure next time you will have a better night sleep. We are looking forward to see you again with us....

The hotel and rooms as such are very stylish. Every room is decorated individually. Location is great and 5min walk to Taksim square. Breakfast is as well good. Only the staff could be a little bit more welcoming. But I would definitively recommend it again.

This is a really fun, clean hotel in a superb location. Rooms are by no means large, but they are clean and well designed. Very comfortable beds and excellent breakfast. Can be quite noisy, but then it is in a fun and vibrant part of the city. Noise dies down after midnight.

This hotel has received very mixed reviews so wanted to be sure to leave a favorable review. Just spent five nights at lush hotel over the Easter period because all other hotels we tried to book we full. Most of what has been said is true, it is very loud all day long, particularly between midnight and early hours. We...

Lush is a boutique hotel & as we wanted to stay in a boutique hotel we stayed there. It has trendy rooms & no two of them are same . Our room was nice & comfortable. The staff was helpful & courteous, they helped us a lot in planning our sightseeing in Istanbul. They have a very nicely designed cafe,...

I booked a room here after reading about it in the NY Times and seeing some "luscious" room photos on their fancy-shmancy web site. Each room was supposed to be unique and well, hiply designed and decorated. Upon arrival, location was excellent: a side street just 2 minutes from the central Taksim Square with subways and lots of restaurants and...

Can't begin to understand why this place gets any kind of decent review. I have traveled the world, always staying in 3 or 4 star hotels - Lush is the worst place I've stayed in 10 years. Unkept rooms, poorly cleaned bathrooms (mildew), terrible noise from busy streets. Management is uninformed and pretty incompetent.

To begin, I want to make it clear that I'm going to write several reviews about my trip to Istanbul. This will be the only negative one. My husband and I have traveled all over the globe and before this trip, I have never felt the need to write a review. Istanbul really touched us, and the Lush Hotel was...

what can I say, I liked it! It was quiet and comfortable. We had the largest room in the place even though we did not book it. Free upgrade. It is located about a half hour by transit from the "old" part of town. There were lots of good restaurants near the hotel and the area was very safe. The...

I liked the hotel a lot and the location was superb. The staff was helpful and knowledgeable and I was able to use public transportation easily using their advice. The breakfast was good and the room was oddly shaped but comfortable. I think they try just a bit too hard to be "hip". There are a lot of eclectic items...

Staying in Beyoglu

Neighbourhood Profile
Beyoglu
Istanbul’s most famous street, pedestrianized Istiklal Caddesi (Independence Avenue), throbs day and night and offers a fantastic array of architectural sights, shops, treats, and throngs upon teeming throngs of people. At the avenue’s northeastern end is expansive Taksim Square, thought by many to be the very heart of the city, with many of Turkey’s most renowned restaurants and some of Europe’s most happening nightlife in close proximity. In striking contrast, Beyoglu’s less trafficked areas – such as the affluent Cihangir and the antiques district of Cukurcuma – exude Old World charm and provide contemplative calm and splendid diversion via an assortment of cozy cafes, attractive boutiques, and quiet lanes.
