What a great hotel with simple and clean accommodations. Enis, who runs the place is a great ambassador. Super knowledgeable of Turkey and of the world. Omar is a sweetheart. Very affordable and very close to main tourist attractions, Hagia Sophia, sulimaniye mosque, and topkapi palace. Also quick walk to tram to other parts of Istanbul. About 20-30 minutes from...

Hi, everyone I stayed here with my boyfriend during 7 days. Situated. The hotel is situated near from Blue Mosque, like 3 minutes walk. It's quite area with clean street. There are a lot of restaurants and shops for tourists. But if you are looking to night life wit a club and underground pubs - you don't find it here....

Among the generally overpriced Sultanahmed area hotels, this one provide one of the reasonable price (probably partially because of low season). I paid 100 lira/night as my walk-in price for a bunk bed room, I stayed in this hotel for 3 nights on day to day basis until I was bumped out because of online reservation. The staff was very...

I first stayed in the Antique Hotel back in 1992, have stayed there several times since and have often recommended it to friends. My latest experience with it however was very unfortunate. I had booked the hotel via Booking.com as a favour for a couple of our clients who do not have their own credit card but who nevertheless wanted...

I stayed at Antique Hostel for five nights, check in was a breeze, the reception were friendly and helpful throughout my stay. The rooms are small but cover all the basics, while being clean and tidy. It is an ideal location so there is no need to be looking for more than what is offered as majority of my time...

I have been coming here since the Winter of 2009. The hospitality, accommodations, and service has always been that of the highest level of quality and professionalism. For me personal attention to suit my specific needs will always trump the high prices of fancy elite modern living conditions. The prices here are very affordable and include a healthy delicious filling...

I can not understand some reviews which goes smt like this: small room, small toilette, etc, etc, and than 4 stars given. This leads me to believe that some of those reviews are written from the hotel stuff themselves, which led me to book this hotel. My experince was totally opposite. I was there few days and could notice that no...

We stayed at Hotel Antique for 4 days, 3 nights. First time in Istanbul. Antique is brilliantly located - very short distance to all the key Istanbul attractions. Enis - the host and owner - is simply outstanding. Gracious, informative and a pleasure to know. The rooms are small, but the rates are cheap, breakfast is supplied and the ambiance...

I can second what most other reviewers have stated. Hotel Antique is very near the sights of the Sultanahmet area of Istanbul yet is tucked away on a quiet side street. The room I had was a double with two twin beds though I was alone as a single. The self contained room, and it’s bathroom, are tiny yet they...

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighbourhood Profile
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
