This hotel is sadly not what it seems...and has been the worst hotel on our month long trip. Amazing location but this is where the 4 stars ends. We were given a room which was so small you couldn't have your luggage open and walk around the bed and was nothing like the pictures on the website. It was like...

I think one of the reasons that made this hotel one of our favorite is the hotel personal, they make you feel like one of the family, there very warm, friendly, go happy, helpful, kind, polite and very professional. We were very amazed. Regarding the location what can I say, you're within minutes from Topkapi Palace, Blue Mosque, Undergrong cistern...

Simply put if you need a hotel right in the heart of Sultanahmet look no further. As everyone before has mentioned it is central to Topkapi Palace, Hagia Sofia, Blue Mosque and both the Spice and Grand Bazaar. Walking was very easy from here and only took a few hours to familiarise ourselves with the area. The staff were extremely...

This small hotel is near Hagia Sofia and the Blue Mosque. Excellent location on a quiet street. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Our room was small but very clean and quite adequate. Some of our group had much larger rooms. They were all comfortable and clean. There's a cozy bar and a restaurant (with Whirling Dervish entertainment!). Full...

You cant get better location than this hotel, across from Hagia Sofia ,Topkapi palace and Blue Mosque are short walk away. We stayed in a room where the rates were little higher than regular rooms, but it was worth it. Our room was over looking Hagia Sofia, greta view to wake up to in the morning. Room was in good...

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighbourhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
