Hotel was clean, staff helpful and somewhat conveniently located. If you are older, you might have some trouble getting to and from hotel as it is located on a hill. Rooms are fairly small, but comfortable. I will recommend this as a plane 4 star hotel, nothing extraordinary about it.

one more city hotel..no character and nothing special at all. + Clean, location, big rooms...- expensive. Definetly there are better hotels on lowest rate on the same area. I do not think that I will remember this hotel after a couple of months.

Stayed at this hotel for a weekend in March 2013. Conveniently located almost on Taksim Square (50 meter or so down a STEEP hill), with stairs. To sum it up:+ + Large well appointed rooms with comfortable beds + Ideal location for Taksim, shopping, nightlife !! + Clean and well maintained. + Breakfast included in our room rate was of...

The hotel is very conveniently located right at Taksim Square, a few steps from the Metro station, the main shopping area and plenty of restaurants around. Very busy junction, but essentially the heart of Istanbul beats there. The room was nice, functional and internet worked well. The breakfast was good. Getting around Istanbul from the hotel was a breeze ,...

It is a 4 star hotel. It really is. It fulfills all the conditions a 4 star hotel should have. The location is also perfect.. But 130 Euro for a single room and 160 Euro for a double room is too expensive. Do I stay there again? I dont think so.

The hotel is a old property but rooms are spacious not exactly on the main road little inside from the main junction. The main attraction being the Taksim square and the nearby Istiqlal street with lot of eating options from kebaps to burgers. Most of the shops and restaurants open till late midnight. Hotel provides breakfast a cold spread but...

Awesome location. The hotel is just a step away from Taksim Metro, famous Istiqlal Street and Havas Bus terminal (which operates buses from Ataturk Int'Airport and is very cheap and convenient way). There are plenty of places to shop around and eat (especially on Istiqlal Street). Free Wifi speed is awesome. Breakfast buffet was good. Room, beds and bathroom, I...

It has been the worst experience ever. It all started when I was picked up from the airport. I had asked the hotel to arrange for a transfer from the airport to the hotel. I was told that I will be the only passenger but the cab driver picked up other people and dropped them. A 30minute ride turned into...

From April this year I have stayed in more than a dozen hotels in Istanbul within 4.5-star range, including the renowned Pera Palace. In September, I stayed at Metropark a couple of times and can say that the outfit is definitely the best within the category and in this area of the city (Pera - Taksim) as long as you...

Staying in Beyoglu

Neighbourhood Profile
Istanbul’s most famous street, pedestrianized Istiklal Caddesi (Independence Avenue), throbs day and night and offers a fantastic array of architectural sights, shops, treats, and throngs upon teeming throngs of people. At the avenue’s northeastern end is expansive Taksim Square, thought by many to be the very heart of the city, with many of Turkey’s most renowned restaurants and some of Europe’s most happening nightlife in close proximity. In striking contrast, Beyoglu’s less trafficked areas – such as the affluent Cihangir and the antiques district of Cukurcuma – exude Old World charm and provide contemplative calm and splendid diversion via an assortment of cozy cafes, attractive boutiques, and quiet lanes.
