Great place next to Bosbhorus boats. Super rooms if having balcony like we had, nice view over Bosbhorus to heart of Istanbuls European side. If You want to rest in swimming pool, it is possible, even if in the heart of the city. Great service, breakfast ok, nearby shopping possibilities. Nothing but good to tell, even if critic is my...

The hotel is in a good district and has a beautiful bosphorous view but that's all. Everything else was mediocre and not good, for this kind of price I'm sure you can find better hotels around istanbul.

I stayed there for one night. My room has great view. But the room was smelly. Carpet is dirty. No kettle, no cup until I called the room service. Secondly, because there was a wedding party, it was very noisy until 12:00. We have friends stayed in another block without a lift. They needed to climb several levels to reach...

It is an old hotel with nice Anatolia decor. The rooms are quite comfortable, but some of the facilities into the rooms (i.e. Jacuzzi) do not work. Has a perfect view from the lobby and the rooms; especially the night. Also, recommended for romantic dinner. The breakfast it is not something special and the staff is polite. Another good thing...

We weren't staying at this hotel but visited a few times as our friends were. The service in the restaurant was very poor for a top rated hotel. One evening some of our party had ordered fish as a main course and they had to wait over an hour and half before it arrived, after everyone else had long finished!...

I spent a night in a "Pasa Suite" and I loved every minute of it. The view is breathtaking and the room was spacious, clean and elegant. The breakfast was varied and tasty. I was impressed by the variety of coffee that was available and the servers were above and beyond the call of duty helpful and polite. Kudos to...

It was the first time I was travelling to Istanbul and we decided to stay in this hotel because we were attending the wedding of one of my friends which was going to be celebrated in the same hotel. The location is great, just 5 walks away from the underground (Üsküdar station) and with boats to Besiktas, Eminönü and Kabataş...

Staying in Uskudar

Neighbourhood Profile
Uskudar
Home to more than half a million residents, Uskudar on the Asian side of the Bosphorus is one of Istanbul’s most densely populated neighbourhoods. Once a Greek colony, later a haven for people from across the Mediterranean and the Middle East, this gateway to Asia has been an active and diverse hub for eons. Still, visitors to Uskudar are often more overcome by its myriad treasures than by its many thousand residents. And with fairytale settings such as the “Maiden’s Tower” as well as grand examples of Ottoman Era architecture, plenty of parks, a gorgeous and lengthy coastline, and some of Turkey’s holiest sites, there’s no end to the sightseeing possibilities. Easily reached from the city’s European shores via a steady network of ferries, time spent in Uskudar reveals a “real life” Istanbul that many who experience find extremely fascinating.
