Location Hostel is just few minutes away from the main attractions such as the Mosaic Museum, Topkapi Palace, Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia. Public transport: Hostel is close to tram station Rooms Room was clean with comfortable bed and locker. If you close the window, you won't hear anything. Also roommates were awesome. It was my first hostel experience, and my room-mates told me it one of the better ones. It is just a few minutes walk away from the main attractions at Sultanahmet. It is a lovely area with small streets, cafes, restaurant and several ceramic and rug stores. The room was clean, and it was reasonable quiet at night. The price...

Best thing about Istanbul Hostel is the great location! It is just a 5 minutes walk from Aya Sofia and the Blue Mosque - surrounded by atmospheric narrow streets of cobblestone, rug stores and charming cafes. It is also a less than 10 min walk from the sea that can be viewed from its restaurant and from the bedroom windows...

Great location-minutes from Aya Sophia and Blue Mosque, lots of restaurant arount the hostel, breakfast was okay not impressive-served on pre-set plates versus buffet some other hostels offer. The rooftop deck/restaurant was great for a beer with a great view-Aya Sophia on one side and the ocean view on the other. The quality and cleanliness of bed was good although...

This hostel was perfectly located in the historic area of Sultanahmet. The 6-bed dorm was clean, the terrace and bar were very fun, and the breakfast was great. The staff wasn't as accommodating as they could have been, but that is really my only complaint. The price was right, and from what I heard, it is one of the best...

Whilst this accommodation is very cheap, there are a few aspects that we couldn't get past. 1. The rooms were basic and clean, if unairconditioned (but we didn't expect it to be, given the price) - yet the rooms were hotter than the outside (but we did go in late July) 2. We were, however, shocked at the condition of...

The price was affordable and overall the room was acceptable. The employees on the other hand were really rude against the customers and were being rude to me and my friends on multiple occasions during our stay. Really poor customer service. I would not recommend to others.

Perfect location, very nice and helpful staffs, breakfast is free, rooms are clean and tidy. The WIFI may be a little bit slow, but given the price you paid it is the best hostel you can find in Istanbul. Highly recommended.

I stayed in this cosy hostel with my friends for a week and found it totally worth the price with a number of good bonuses: GREAT location right near Blue Mosque and just minutes away from Hagia Sofia (you can see its domes and minarets from the roof terrace while enjoying complementary breakfast there!) Friendly and helpful staff at reception...

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighbourhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
