We visited Istanbul in April 2016 and found this gem on Airbnb. We loved it. The breakfast was simple but filling, and the rooms, although were reasonably sized and very clean and taken care of. The staff were also very friendly and helpful of where to visit and what to avoid. For the price paid, I would definitely recommend it.

My husband and I have been traveling to Cozumel for many years. Over the past few years we have visited the Deniz store along the waterfront. This past September we brought home a special keepsake to remind us of our trip and our love for Cozumel. If you are looking fir something special to bring home then stop at Deniz...

The hotel has great location. Staff behave friendly. Rooms are very clean. Everything is ok! I was 4 nights at top floor with sea view. I think it's the best room in this hotel. I strongly suggest this room.

Deniz Houses were an ideal base in which to explore this magnificent city. Only 3 minutes by foot to the Blue Mosque yet in a quiet welcoming neighborhood it is in a great location for exploring Istanbul's gems and only 5 minutes from the metro for easy access to the rest of the city. The hotel is basic but has...

This hotel had everything we needed for our trip to Istanbul. I do recommend this place to anyone on a budget. It's located only a few minutes walk from the blue mosque and can easily access many of the historic sites by foot.

We booked 4 nights at the Naz but were told due to low uptake they were closing it for refurbishment. This is a pity as it looked really cute. To compensate they put us in a sea view room in this hotel, but for sea view read: view on the highway below and the building site on the shoreline. If...

Everyone at the front desk was very welcoming and always available if we needed anything. Great location and staff were helpful for recommending things to do in the city. Room was clean and rooftop patio was lovely.

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighbourhood Profile
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
