Hotel was good, food was great and it was local to everything we wanted to see...near shops, a short bus ride into istanbul shops and amazing mosques. Steeped in history - loved the place will want to go back soon. Not touristy - very much a place for locals.

The hotel can boast its location and the history it has on Pierre Loti. Although the weather was all rainy, we enjoyed the views from the terrace and great Mehmetefendi Coffee. The coffee I first discovered on Pierre Loti Hill and so far I remain the devoted lover :) We were on a business trip and accommodation was organized in...

Beautiful Location but terrible service, not what it seems like in the picture. Only accessible via taxi or walking us steep hill, although a lovely walk but quite tough. Food was awful and repetitive.

This was supposed to be a 40th birthday present which ended up in a disappointment. No Wifi for the duration of our stay. Staff couldn't speak a word of English and made no attempt to communicate so we had to constantly visit reception for any information regarding food, laundry etc. No money exchange meant could not pay for food on...

got a great view of golden horn and situated on top of hill. it is near to viewpoint and a weekend spot for locals. Don't expect an excellent service because this hotel rely on group tour booking, nothing much to offer. Near to convinient shop, coffee house overlooking golden horn and some souvenir shops.

Very small rooms en bathrooms, you have to sit sideways on the toilet because of things in the way. Very very noisy. Beds are very uncomfortable and small. Animals in the garden which make noise the whole night. In the road sided roams you have the pleasure to experience the noise of passing cars the whole night. The rooms are...

Pierre Loti Cafe is just next to this hotel...

Staff don't know english at all, our check in became a pain ! Hotel doesn't serve alcoholic drinks and no place around to find any (we had definitely needed some) Our room was dusty and unattended. View is nice but hotel is in the middle of nowhere, we suffered to explain taxi driver how to get there. Pricing is mediocre,...

We stayed there with our two chldren. This hotel is a very safe and comfortable place for families with a big nice garden and playpen. Rooms and bathrooms are a little small but acceptable. Restaurant and cafe is clean with a good Turkish Cusine. Breakfast is superb, except fruit juices. Location is perfect with a wonderful Golden Horn landscape. The...

I stayed at Turquhouse twice as part of a group trip to Turkey. Both stays were bad. For starters, the hotel is located in a very out of the way and inconvenient part of the city. Many taxi drivers have no idea where it is, which is a problem because you have to take a taxi to go anywhere of...
