Didn't stay as tripadvisor reviews mixed! Have a drink at the bar on the terrace though as the view is amazing! Book a table as very busy but worth a wait otherwise! The snack menu is good too and the shawls useful as the sun sets!

So many hotels in istanbul have a bosphorus view but U cant feel like touching the see like in bebek hotel, the view is just AMAZING , refreshing and romantic. The area fabulous with many resturants around,U can just have a long walk to Rumeli Hissari and take Turkish breakfast in Nar Cafe or Kale , enjoy the afternoon tea...

I read an article about the bebek hotel and I decided to spend a night there. The hotel is just ok, the rooms are big and spacious. the view on the bosphore is certainly amazing but it is also noisy with the sound of the boats Breakfast is poor and coffee disgusting. I went to divan next door for a...

I was in Istanbul for the first time and stayed at the Bebek Hotel at the recommendation of a colleague. She recommended the hotel because it is out of the way and supposedly safer for American travelers. It is out of the way, which means it is also inconvenient to tourist attractions and shopping. Also, since it is off-the-beaten-tourist-path very...

We visited Istanbul twice on a recent holiday first staying in the city centre and then here the second time. Staying in Bebek was by far the better experience. Its well worth paying the extra to get a room with a view of the Bosphorus, with all its yachts, palaces and riverside restaurants. If you are visiting the sites in...

Bebek Hotel is a little ways down the coast road. Without traffic, it takes about 10 minutes to drive there from the Istanbul city center at the Hagia Sophia. With traffic, 30-45 minutes. But there is a better way than a taxi, take one of the boat shuttles on the Bosphorus and float back to your hotel every evening. This...

I stayed in this hotel for 3 days in May booked by the local university. Wow!! This is a lovely boutique hotel, views across the Bosphorous, breakfast on the water, nice rooms, great food and drinks. A lovely and chilled place to be. Internet is free. The only thing to be aware is that the road outside is a main...

My favorite hotel in Istanbul. Their terrace overlooking the Bosphorus is a great way to start a long business day. Location is great to move around the city and to have dinner or a drink in the evening. There are not so many rooms so book in advance

We stayed here based on a recommendation from a friend and weren't disappointed! Location is fantastic right on the bosphorus so having breakfast overlooking this was lovely. Bebek is a great location to be in (someone likened it to the chelsea of london in istanbl) and is very lively in the evenings with fantastic restaurants. It is a bit of...

Staying in Besiktas

Neighbourhood Profile
Besiktas
In Besiktas, skyscrapers compete with palaces for space in an upscale vista replete with hilly green parkland filling in the margins. Step into this rather wealthy neighbourhood and discover a rich mix of opportunities to shop, dine, and be entertained. For folks in search of urban buzz, not to mention a constant reminder of just how important Istanbul’s waterways are to its rich history, there's the frenetic Besiktas ferry terminal or the city’s most vibrant fish market to explore. For a timeout of metropolitan proportions, head to the bucolic Yildiz Park or the chic Bosphorus-side fishing village of Ortakoy. Attractions such as the grandiose Dolmabahce Palace and a bevy of other stately residences await admiration. To be sure, this large and not overly touristy swath of Istanbul yields plenty of pleasure for all.

“Choose a room on the Bosphorus side. Do not choose a room on the street side--too noisy. There are lovely large, sunny rooms on the street side but the traffic in the evenings is too much. If you will be out late, it probably won't matter.”
