Marmara Pera helped us get rooms when we were in a tricky spot. Very friendly and helpful staff! Do visit the top-floor bar and pool (summer only). Its worth a trip in itself! You can see all of Istanbul from the terrasse. Only downsides would be: Dull exterior designs. Not top-optimal location (but well served by taxis so no big...

Dear Valued Guest, Thank you very much for your detailed feedback and your wonderful comments on me, myself and our team as The Marmara Pera. This is a longer and detailed review... The Marmara Pera, Istanbul came up roses when we searched for a centrally located property and indeed it's a four minute walk from the side of the hotel up a brick paved alleyway to the busy Taskim hub. Unfortunately, that's sort of where the good ended for us. The fact that this booking...

Dear Valued Guest, Thank you very much for your detailed comment about your stay in The Marmara Pera. Our hotel is a 16-floored building, with 205 rooms and a yearly average occupancy of 80% as of today. Excellent location (for leisure activities and for business trips), business center, bar with an amazing view, friendly staff and nice facilities. Breakfast and food is also great. I have not stayed at this hotel but just visited the roof terrace with the pool. The views from here are just fantastic and it's worth going up there to see it. Absolutely! There is a bar and restaurant there but you don't need to stay there if you just want to see the views.

I stayed in a standard room for two nights at the end of February on business and the hotel was ideally situated close to the premises I was visiting. Dear Valued Guest, Thank you very much for your detailed review about our hotel. This is a fairly conventional city centre hotel which makes a reasonable base for a tourist trip to Istanbul. It is very close to Istiklal Caddesi, the main shopping street, and to the Galata Tower and the attractive and interesting side streets which surround this tourist attraction with many fascinating small shops and ateliers. Staying in Beyoglu

Neighbourhood Profile
Beyoglu
Istanbul’s most famous street, pedestrianized Istiklal Caddesi (Independence Avenue), throbs day and night and offers a fantastic array of architectural sights, shops, treats, and throngs upon teeming throngs of people. At the avenue’s northeastern end is expansive Taksim Square, thought by many to be the very heart of the city, with many of Turkey’s most renowned restaurants and some of Europe’s most happening nightlife in close proximity. In striking contrast, Beyoglu’s less trafficked areas – such as the affluent Cihangir and the antiques district of Cukurcuma – exude Old World charm and provide contemplative calm and splendid diversion via an assortment of cozy cafes, attractive boutiques, and quiet lanes.
