Our room was very spacious and comfortable with a great view out over the sea. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful and arranged a transfer to to Sabina Gokcen airport at a very reasonable price. Breakfast was good and varied with a wide selection of pastries, cakes as well as cereal, eggs, olives, fruit, honey, cheese, meats etc....

We loved the location of this charming and yet elegant hotel close to all the tourist atractions. One of our party was handicapped and needed a wheelchair sometimes. There was elevator at the hotel and it was close enough to the highlighs of the city that she could walk to the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, etc. The rooms, although small,...

Stayed here with my wife for a few days last week. Staff were very friendly and helpful, including organising an airport transfer for our return. The room was clean and comfortable with a fantastic view over the Bosphorus. Nice breakfast and great location, particularly if you are interested in exploring Sultanahmet. 5 min walk from the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sofia,...

We arrived at the Daphne Hotel at 11pm after a long day of travel, only to be informed that the person who had stayed in 'our room' previously had decided to stay an extra night, therefore there was no room available for us. They took us to an awful smoky smelling apartment the next block over for one night and...

the staff here was rude and messed up basically everything possible, from unlocking my hotel door while i was in my underwear, to calling my room at 5am because they got me mixed up with the room that wanted a wakeup call, to just general rudeness. location is good but there are tons of great parts of istanbul where you...

This was my second time staying here (last summer as well), was here this time for six days. Very cozy, charming boutique hotel. Since the hotel is pretty new, all the rooms, bathrooms, and overall facilities are really in top condition and not worn. I have stayed in several highly rated hotels in the Sultanahmet area (all more expensive), and...

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighbourhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
