This is the third time me and my family stayed in this hotel for at least 2 nights, each time. The hotel offers many opportunities: Not too far from the famous touristic sites. There is a taxi and micro bus parking distant for two minutes walking from the hotel (prices are acceptable). Many restaurants near the hotel offers a variety...

I was expecting a better service and a more nice place to relax. The pools are not so provocative, the spa is dirty and the floor is all wet. The staff is not so nice, and the choice of food is very poor. I will recommend it for no more than 2 nights. Also the A/C does not work at...

Clean, decent and centric. Only 20 minutes away walking distance from Grand Bazaar. We stayed there for a total of 3 nights. First two nights our room was a bit small but comfortable. Our last bight we had a bigger room. Rooms could use more electric wall outlets. Literally had to take turns to charge phones, cameras and use hair...

I loved my stay in Hotel Gulsoy even though it was just for one night. The rooms were decent and clean. I had requested for a room on a higher floor with a view towards the mosque but i was informed that the hotel was full. I wanted to go for a late checkout the next day and i was...

Hotel Grand Gulsoy in Sehzadebasi, Lalehi district of Istanbul is very centrally located. The Shezade mosque is directly opposite the street from it. The early morning call to prayer for the faithful was quite melodious. Other mosques that are within walking distance from the hotel are: Sultan Ahmet Fatih mosque, Suleymaniye mosque, Rustem Pasha mosque, Yeni mosque. So also are...

Staying in Grand Bazaar

Neighbourhood Profile
Grand Bazaar
Tourists, hawkers, and locals come together at the Grand Bazaar to comb its labyrinthine passageways in search of a bargain – be it a pair of brand name jeans, a handcrafted silk rug, or a perfectly brewed cup of tea. Outside the vast bazaar, worn, narrow streets wind their way down from its lofty perch to the southern shore of the Golden Horn, where the evocatively aromatic Spice Bazaar beckons alongside the elegant New Mosque (opened in 1665). Nearby, the famed Galata Bridge offers pedestrian access to urban delights across the river in Istanbul’s more residential and contemporary neighbourhoods, while the must-see sights of Sultanahmet are but a leisurely stroll away.
