The rooms are a bit small and the view on the bosporus is not really the super panorame, but what do you expect at this price ? It was clean, staff was helpful, it has very interesting position and it offers a very good airport shuttle service at a very reasonable price. I would book it again

Good hotel situated in the heart of Istanbul. We had a room with magnificent Bosphorus view, amongst which was overlooking Galatatower, Bosphorus bridge , and some mosques, so stunning view. Moreover, hotel is ideally located to walk towards all main points of interest in Sultan Ahmet, Fatih and Eminönü quarter. Even a stroll to Beyoglu quarter or Taksim square is...

The hotel was OK - some of the people we were travelling with confused this hotel with another hotel with a similar name. Ask to check the room before checking in as the rooms vary in quality and location within the hotel. The breakfast, even though Turkish in style, still was not fantastic

I stayed at the Golden Horn hotel for 3 nights as part of an organised tour. My room was basic - quite small and with a tiny bathroom. My room had a kettle and a window that opened. Wifi was very poor, especially for a big city hotel. Wifi didn't work in my room and only worked in the lobby....

Pretty average hotel. Breakfasts were pretty good in the morning and it was convenient to most of the sights in Istanbul. Only hiccup was they forgot about our laundry the day that we'd given it to them. Luckily we had another day to get the wash done.

Location: Its not too far to the attractions like Hagia Sophia and spice market. You can easily catch the tram outside the train station, and its very close to the train station that you can get a bus from there to Bulgaria. Quiet at night, watch out if you walk alone, there are some random man will try to stalk...

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighbourhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
