The staff at the hotel are extremely helpful and professional, especially when it comes to booking excursions and transfers to the airport. The location is incredibly convenient, a 5 minute walk from the blue mosque and a 2 minute walk from the bosphorus. If you're looking for huge luxury rooms this might not be for you, but personally I enjoyed...

We stayed in the Best Western Palace Hotel Istanbul. We did not get what we expected after reading all the reviews and were expecting much higher standards. The hotel itself is very small and furniture including the beds old and in need of repair. The breakfast was inclusive but was just about edible. The staff try to sell you packages...

Upon arrival, we were given a warm welcome at the reception by Sulaiman and Hacer. They were very helpful and the place is well located and at walking distance from the train station. The Blue Mosque and Sofia Museum are just 5 minutes walk from the hotel. The place is cosy and nicely decorated. We felt at home immediately.

It was our first time in Turkey, and since the beginning, we felt like we've been here our whole life. The room was fantastic, very spacious and stylish. Room service was fantastic as well, but I guess one of the most important things to say about this hotel is regarding the people. Literally all of the guys that work here...

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighbourhood Profile
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
