We stayed for a week and found the location perfect for us. Close enough for the major attractions. ( The big bus tourist bus is a 15 min walk) And on the Bosporus in a real bustling and cool neighbourhood The hotel itself had amazing rooms clean and very spacious. And breakfast was beautiful. We had an amazing time and...

The hotel is located very near to touristic spot. The hotel is away from touristic spot noise but very near by walking. The hotel has not much to offer if you are looking for luxury. The breakfast is included in the room tariff but it's pre plated . Rooms are OK and toilets are small. Recommended to people for location

Only good point about this hotel is proximity to Ortakoy mosque and sea. Other than that a) The hotel is over priced in terms of service they provide b) Breakfast was horrible. they have only 5-6 items. c) Air conditioner does not work and the service guy unable to fix it. d) Water supply was not there in the morning...

The hotel is near the charming souk-like area of Ortakoy (no cars!), but it is off the beaten track, so although one must walk up a small hill, it is calm at night. My room had lovely view of the Bridge. Insomniacs will notice that traffic on the bridge never stops! Not all of the hotel staff speaks a European...

This hotel has now changed to Malta Bosphorus hotel. The breakfast was very tasty! Clean rooms and friendly staff. Only a 5min walk to ortakoy mosque and the little boutique stalls around the area. Great stay if you plan to visit Ortakoy for a day, as traffic gets a little hectic during the day if travelling from the old town....

It's about 200 m. to Ortaköy center, but you have to climb to get back to the hotel. If you travel by car, it's not going to be easy to find a parking place. It's a very cute boutique hotel that views the Bosphorus bridge.

Staying in Besiktas

Neighbourhood Profile
In Besiktas, skyscrapers compete with palaces for space in an upscale vista replete with hilly green parkland filling in the margins. Step into this rather wealthy neighbourhood and discover a rich mix of opportunities to shop, dine, and be entertained. For folks in search of urban buzz, not to mention a constant reminder of just how important Istanbul’s waterways are to its rich history, there's the frenetic Besiktas ferry terminal or the city’s most vibrant fish market to explore. For a timeout of metropolitan proportions, head to the bucolic Yildiz Park or the chic Bosphorus-side fishing village of Ortakoy. Attractions such as the grandiose Dolmabahce Palace and a bevy of other stately residences await admiration. To be sure, this large and not overly touristy swath of Istanbul yields plenty of pleasure for all.
