We stayed one night in this hotel. We needed a cheap place to stay very close to the port of Kabatas. It is not very cheap for what it looks like ... but being in Istanbul! It is not a hotel but the small apartments that are rented. There's the TV and are very clean. The furnishings and bathroom are...

Two friends and I were at the Moonlight House in April, 2013. We are delighted with the hotel. The hotel is located in a very convenient location. The hotel is close to the tram stop and the Bosphorus, but it is very quiet. The apartment was spacious and very comfortable. I do not often sleep in such a comfortable bed...

No frills; a good place to rest your weary head - which is all we did. (Overpriced for what it is, at least when booked online.) Be warned: it's tucked away round a corner at the end of a blind alley. We did find it in the pitch dark, but it took a while. Consider taking up the offer of...

At the same time it is very close to funicular which takes you to Taksim and from apartment you have very...

Staying in Beyoglu

Neighbourhood Profile
Istanbul’s most famous street, pedestrianized Istiklal Caddesi (Independence Avenue), throbs day and night and offers a fantastic array of architectural sights, shops, treats, and throngs upon teeming throngs of people. At the avenue’s northeastern end is expansive Taksim Square, thought by many to be the very heart of the city, with many of Turkey’s most renowned restaurants and some of Europe’s most happening nightlife in close proximity. In striking contrast, Beyoglu’s less trafficked areas – such as the affluent Cihangir and the antiques district of Cukurcuma – exude Old World charm and provide contemplative calm and splendid diversion via an assortment of cozy cafes, attractive boutiques, and quiet lanes.

“The room number 1(and others) is next to the office, staff smokes and talks loudly, smoke comes in and also can hear other guests in the adjacent rooms so a quiet relaxing morning or evening not always can happen.”
