Nice, clean place, close to center and very cordial staff. They helped us, to setup the balloon expedition and where to go around the city, castle is a walking distance from many attractions also set us up with a ride to the airport. Continental breakfast. Clean bathroom and room.

The location is excellent, just couple of minutes walk to the major attractions, as well as the tram stop nearby. Room and bed were reasonable. Only thing was the lack of power plugs (just one in the dorm room that I was in). The staff were friendly, and also gave important advices to guests for nearby areas. Even learnt how...

Super fresh and clean bed and bathrooms, ample varied breakfast, peaceful atmosphere, books and turkish musical instruments, genuinely friendly staff (Shireen at the reception, Shorena who maintains the place and provides breakfast) and owner ( Mr Ali), with great conversations, especially in the evening in the sitting room. Good natural light on the third floor. All this and the small...

Kind of homestay hostel, very good value, friendly owners, nice breakfast and very good location. I prefer other locations in Istanbul, but this is definitly good option for Sultanahmet. WiFi worked well, breakfast was rich and i felt like at home. There was just a few beds in dorm, so it is another advantage of this place.

not a castle but a hostel. apartment hostel would be closer to the truth. very difficult to review that one. dorm rooms are not nice as the furniture is totally rotten. even on the garbage you can find better furniture than theirs. double bunk beds are shaking and some of them seem like collapsing every moment, just like the non-lockable...

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighbourhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
