We had a good time at Hostel Karslioglu. Our room wasn't so big but when you see the price (including breaktfast) it was really, really good. Especially the staff was friendly and always tried to help us. We shared our bathroom with other people but it was ok, because the bathroom was clean as well. It takes some time to...

Everything in the average: very good position, just 2 steps from the big bazar and a very very nice concierge. The room was very simple: a fan instead of air conditioning, but considering the price, everything is ok. Credit card payment is not accepted and airport transfer is not available.

Very Helpful and friendly staff. Pleasent stay in a popular area but near tourist actractions. The building is new and the rooms are clean. I spent there my holliday in May and I feel very good but be infotmed that the hotel doesn't have airconditioner so it could be very hot in summer. The price I spent for a room...

Positive point: I was here for the last few days...it was kind of hard to find this hotel initially but once u know the location, it's pretty much a strategic one as it is close to spice bazar, ferry jetty to Eyup n Bosphorus cruise, the yeni cami...we have fun staying here as it is also nearby to the popular...

This hotel has great value for the price point. It is very clean, has a friendly staff and serves a fresh breakfast (not buffet). The drawbacks are its distance from the historic center of town and a bit of street noise. We did not have an en suite bathroom, but the shared bathroom and shower were obviously regularly cleaned. It...

We visited the Hostel in December and we absolutelly can recommend the place. It is surrounded by real life and real people. They truly want to advice and help you - not only get your money like on Sultanahamed. It is close to Eminomu, to the Galata Bridge, Spice bazaar and to the New Mosque. Fatih is a rough area,...

I booked a four nite stay based on all the positive reviews on here of staff friendliness and cleanliness of the shared bathrooms. The place is a bit tricky to find if this is your first time in Istanbul but this was my third visit. Its an authentic non touristy bazaar street used by locals so you can see real...

The hotel is located in an ethnic non touristy part of Istanbul with a busy street scene. It's about a 10 - 15 minute walk to Eminonu where you can jump on a ferry or a tram. The rooms are basic but clean. We had an en suite shower room. It was 56 euros for 4 nights for 2 which...

This hotel is a great option if your on a tight budget. The service was excellent & rooms/bathrooms very clean. The location was fantastic & close to all touristy things. The only thing is its quite noisy outside, & cause I'm such a light sleeper, I struggled, even with ear plugs in. But after a day of sightseeing in this...

Staying in Grand Bazaar

Neighbourhood Profile
Grand Bazaar
Tourists, hawkers, and locals come together at the Grand Bazaar to comb its labyrinthine passageways in search of a bargain – be it a pair of brand name jeans, a handcrafted silk rug, or a perfectly brewed cup of tea. Outside the vast bazaar, worn, narrow streets wind their way down from its lofty perch to the southern shore of the Golden Horn, where the evocatively aromatic Spice Bazaar beckons alongside the elegant New Mosque (opened in 1665). Nearby, the famed Galata Bridge offers pedestrian access to urban delights across the river in Istanbul’s more residential and contemporary neighbourhoods, while the must-see sights of Sultanahmet are but a leisurely stroll away.
