We can't expect more for a cozy house just 5 minutes walk to Blue Mosque. We follow google map guidance to Konut Sokak, but didn't know which house to knock at because it didn't have a name sign. Luckily a guy at the street corner clearly knew the usual confused backpackers, and showed us the way. A small girl received...

We were here for 4 days. Its a tiny little hotel with only 5 rooms. The best beds we have ever had on a vacation. Its really close to the blue mosque and the little arasta bazar. Where the salesman are realy relaxed and you where is no hussle!!! Also near the hotel is a no hussle area whit restaurants.

We stayed here for one week, it is ideally situated near the blue mosque although difficult to find on arrival as there is no sign outside. The wifi works fine and there is free water, tea and coffee downstairs The girl who works there is lovely and friendly and the area is quite quiet for sleeping and very near to...

Fatih is an area that is a very good location to visit most points of interest, there is an almost endless choice of hotels & hostels here. Many of these small hotels & hostels are about 5 levels/floors and they do not have lifts. I agree with other post Konut Wooden House is almost impossible to find, with this information...

Well situated near blue mosque. Impossible to find without beeing picked or call before. There is no sign, no door bell. Low price, very small rooms. Wlan yes, tv didn't work. The room smells smoky, apart from this quite clean.

This is a small guesthouse in Sultanahmet. Everything is comfortable, clean and tidy. The facility is actually quite standard, incl air conditioning and en suite bathroom. What makes it special is the hospitality of the owner, Salih, and his friends. My friends and I came during Ramadhan month and we had sahoor (early breakfast) together with the owners and his...

How to start, I stayed in that place and I will forever keep wonderful memories. Demet and Saleh made us feel more than at home. We came during ramadan and the atmosphere was unforgettable. Sitting around a table with all the customers having a meal together, that was an experience of a lifetime. The location is perfect, the rooms are...

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighbourhood Profile
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
