The location of the hotel is well connected, not so crowd but near the center of Besiktas in the middle of the most comercial part of Istambul. Near to Cevahir shopping mall. The hotel have all the details to give you a great and confortable experience, good breakfast (the coffee would be better...) For lunch and dinner the menu was...

We've been here for 5 days, the day of our entrance was my wife's birthday and they send us a cack and congratulation note to our room. Staffs are kind and helpful, breakfast is good but you should know that all hotels in Istanbul are at least one star lower than international ranking and in comparison to other 5 stars...

The views are great and the service is polite and prompt, but that's about all. The whole building is worn and drab looking - rooms, meeting rooms, common areas. The breakfast is a buffet of stale bread and pastries, a row of heated dishes, a sad collection of fruit. The coffee has been stewing on the hot plate since Genghis...

As my daughter was takjng part in an all day exam at this hotel I just booked a room for a day to stay and rest. Room was very clean and neat. All the equipments and furnitures are as brand new. I could recommend it as a mid price 5 star hotel.

If you choose to stay here ask for a room with the Bosphorus views and as high up as you can. You can watch the beautiful city all day all night. Access to transport is very easy and there's an upmarket shopping centre nearby.

I've stayed many times at this hotel with it's previous name The Plaza. It's 'a central hotel close business districts of İstanbul not far from the touristic places either. One of the most popular mall Zorlu Center is in a walking distance. Rooms are spacious and very clean. Altough Mercure didn't make any investment to the rooms, everything is new...

Reasonable sized rooms, some with outstanding views of the city sloping down to the Bosphorous. Comfy beds and pillows, food wifi and a well equipped health club with a pool. The location is pretty good, with a half hour downhill walk to some vibrant areas right on the Bosphorous. The taxi back was about £2.50. Breakfast was ok. The restaurant...

Staying in Besiktas

Neighbourhood Profile
Besiktas
In Besiktas, skyscrapers compete with palaces for space in an upscale vista replete with hilly green parkland filling in the margins. Step into this rather wealthy neighbourhood and discover a rich mix of opportunities to shop, dine, and be entertained. For folks in search of urban buzz, not to mention a constant reminder of just how important Istanbul’s waterways are to its rich history, there's the frenetic Besiktas ferry terminal or the city’s most vibrant fish market to explore. For a timeout of metropolitan proportions, head to the bucolic Yildiz Park or the chic Bosphorus-side fishing village of Ortakoy. Attractions such as the grandiose Dolmabahce Palace and a bevy of other stately residences await admiration. To be sure, this large and not overly touristy swath of Istanbul yields plenty of pleasure for all.
