This hotel is close to Taksim Square and is small enough to provide friendly service. Our room was a quite large executive suite on the 10th floor with a wonderful view and was very comfortable.I was able to use the internet on the ground floor without charge and the breakfast is of very good standard.

I stayed here while attending a conference at the Lutfi Kirdar conference center. I was upgraded to an executive suite which was borderline palatial! The rooms have cute little balconies that are only large enough to stand on. I didn't try out the Jacuzzi tub, because when I started to fill it the water came out brown and I got...

Nice small hotel with good decor, very good location with nice comfortable rooms, no alcohol is the only reason we wouldn't stay again! The spa was closed when we went down at 3pm? Not sure why! The breakfast was ok!

As stated, right off Taksim Square in a nice little neighborhood. Very quiet, elegant atmosphere. Short walk to good restaurants, nightlife, shopping and transportation. Desk staff helpful, in English. Breakfast had plenty of variety and it was well done. Elevators are tiny - factor that in for comings and goings. Would definitely stay here again.

I've stayed at the Central Palace twice now and it's difficult to fault. Agree very much with previous posts regarding location, quietness of hotel, good breakfast, excellent decor and helpful staff. It's amazing that this place is so close to Taksim Square but you are removed from the hustle and bustle pretty much immediately you hit Lamartin Place. Very comfortable...

A well apportioned hotel that I found on for the money. Great location off Taksim Sq. and yet quiet. Friendly staff and a good breakfast to boot. Only a couple of minor negatives not worthy of mention on here. One thing though: they don't seem to have a "do not disturb" hanger for the door (or not one I could...

This is a concept hotel decorated in a modern version of late-Ottoman style. The overall vibe is elegant and luxurious. The location is amazing - not only is it a five-minute walk from Taksim and Istiklal, but the hotel's neighbourhood, Talimhane, is a fantastic area in its own right. There are several great restaurants and night spots within two blocks...

The central palace hotel is very close to taxim sq. (3 min on foot). A decent hotel, clean and comfortable in general. Breakfast ok, rooms spacius and bathrooms too. They provide slippers and bathrobes (but no coffee facilities), safety box and my room had a static bicycle(!). Service is slow, but extremely polite, its perhaps the citys rythm. I would...

This is a small hotel which is just a stone throw away from Taksim Square. Main selling point can be its breakfast, which is amazing. It has got rooms with the view of Bosphorus Strait. Room is moderate and comfortable. Service is good enough. But hotel is far away from being a star hotel given its basic facilities - small...

Staying in Beyoglu

Neighbourhood Profile
Beyoglu
Istanbul’s most famous street, pedestrianized Istiklal Caddesi (Independence Avenue), throbs day and night and offers a fantastic array of architectural sights, shops, treats, and throngs upon teeming throngs of people. At the avenue’s northeastern end is expansive Taksim Square, thought by many to be the very heart of the city, with many of Turkey’s most renowned restaurants and some of Europe’s most happening nightlife in close proximity. In striking contrast, Beyoglu’s less trafficked areas – such as the affluent Cihangir and the antiques district of Cukurcuma – exude Old World charm and provide contemplative calm and splendid diversion via an assortment of cozy cafes, attractive boutiques, and quiet lanes.
