Loud music til 3 in the am! Told us it would end after the weekend, but it did not so they offered to move us to another room for the final night. Beds were hard as a rock. Breakfasts were good, but not a reason to stay there.

The Central Palace is in an excellent location, on a quiet street near Taksim Sq. Lots of inexpensive restaurants within easy walking distance. Markets right out the front door. Funicular from Taksim Sq. takes you to the tram at Katsabas which takes you to most of the major tourist sites either by tram or ferry. The rooms are quite elegant...

My husband and I stayed here for three nights while traveling on a Smithsonian Journey. The room was spotless, linens were lovely, beds really comfortable, and breakfast was amazing. The Jacuzzi tub was a welcome experience following our long flights from Boston. The location with its proximity to Taksim Square and the bustling pedestrian street was great. Staff were extremely...

A value for money hotel just a few steps from Taksim square and Istilat which is the famous Pedestrian street filled with shops and restaurants buzzing till the wee hours. Helpul staff, clean rooms, jaccuzi in all rooms, however no views.

Me and my cousins stayed at the hotel for a week, the room is spacious and luxurious, the curtains and all details were elegant, the bathroom was very clean with a Jacuzzi, the breakfast variety was excellent. The hotel is only few meters away from Taksim Square and Itsiklal street, Jumhureyit street. That was during 2009

We were a little worried about what we might end up in at this hotel as we booked it the night before arriving and went on price and location. We were very pleasantly surprised, the hotel was lavishly decorated, stylish, clean and very central. The staff were very helpful with any requests and the food at the breakfast buffet was...

We stayed at the hotel from Friday to Sunday night - unfortunately our room was on the first floor and was very noisy due to a bar/restaurant in the street next door. We complained but were told there were no rooms on higher floors available. The hotel itself is lovely and breakfast was very good with a wide choice of...

My wife and I stayed at this hotel for three nights following a Greek Isles cruise and flight to Istanbul. The hotel is modern and comfortable. Our room was large, with a separate sitting area, elegantly decorated and soundproof. The first night we were so tired we ordered room service, which came within 20 minutes, was delicious and reasonably priced....

We stayed at this hotel a total of 4 nights. The accomodation was modern chic and was very comfortable by all standards. The staff, namely the concierge and reception staff were very professional and friendly. This hotel lacks nothing. We had one concern with a leaking jacuzzi and an air conditioner that decided to play games and within minutes of...

Coming off a cruise ship, we booked this hotel for a four day stay on the recommendations onTripadviser alone. We were so glad we did: great value for money. Absolutely charming, from the liveried doorman, to the beautifully furnished public rooms. Wonderfully friendly service. As mentioned by others, the location is superb, close to Taksim Square, and lots of restaurants...

Staying in Beyoglu

Neighbourhood Profile
Beyoglu
Istanbul’s most famous street, pedestrianized Istiklal Caddesi (Independence Avenue), throbs day and night and offers a fantastic array of architectural sights, shops, treats, and throngs upon teeming throngs of people. At the avenue’s northeastern end is expansive Taksim Square, thought by many to be the very heart of the city, with many of Turkey’s most renowned restaurants and some of Europe’s most happening nightlife in close proximity. In striking contrast, Beyoglu’s less trafficked areas – such as the affluent Cihangir and the antiques district of Cukurcuma – exude Old World charm and provide contemplative calm and splendid diversion via an assortment of cozy cafes, attractive boutiques, and quiet lanes.
