Location Location - a few steps from Taksim square but you can't hear a thing. The room had a lovely patio overlooking the city. The public areas of the hotel were lovely and elegant and the doorman was very attentive and helpful - though the personnel at every turn was exceptional . The room was great - extremely comfertable and...

Beautiful hotel located in a nice part of Istanbul. Service fantastic, rooms classic and traditional in decor. Breakfast excellent. Front desk personnel very accommodating and helpful with info we needed. they do not serve alcohol in the hotel but have a lovely lounge with coffee that can be ordered. We were directed to a cute little wine bar down the...

We stayed at this hotel for 4 days. To summarise it's a good hotel in terms of value for money. I wanted to stay at one those hotels with traditional Turkish interiors rather than those newly constructed American hotel chains. Positives - Staff is very friendly and helpful. Clean rooms with good quality beds. Location is perfect - close proximity...

A very nice hotel, located very close to Taksim Square in a relatively quiet street with many coffee shops and restaurants around. Nicely decorated rooms with attention to details, very clean, good breakfast, friendly staff. An ideal hotel for Taksim, Beyoglu area.

Loud Music all Night and poor Internet: Hotel was booked by Odysseys Unlimited of Newton, Ma. for their group tour to Turkey in October 2012. After taking an all night red-eye flight from the U.S. to Istanbul, Turkey, we were lodged in the Central Palace Hotel. We would rate this hotel as a “3-star” with a centric location to Taksim...

Dear Anthony P, Sometimes it depends from which side you are looking to the world generally. If you are looking the dark side it is impossible to find happiness. Why I do write and start with this sentence is about the photos you put on your review. If you stand normally and look with a normal angle from that room...

I twisted my leg my first day, and the jacuzzi in the room saved my leg and my holiday. The staff were friendly and nice and very very helpful. We arrived before check-in time and they gave us tea and cakes while we waited for the room to be made ready. I couldn't walk that night, so the buffet dinner,...

As i began writing this review, I noticed that two of the three published reviews on the side of the screen were titled "Perfect" and ""Quite ordinary." To me, the former seems Panglossian, the latter ungenerous. I found it to be very good. TCP is a boutique hotel in the Taksim neighborhood, a warren of upscale streets in where cars...

Staying in Beyoglu

Neighbourhood Profile
Istanbul’s most famous street, pedestrianized Istiklal Caddesi (Independence Avenue), throbs day and night and offers a fantastic array of architectural sights, shops, treats, and throngs upon teeming throngs of people. At the avenue’s northeastern end is expansive Taksim Square, thought by many to be the very heart of the city, with many of Turkey’s most renowned restaurants and some of Europe’s most happening nightlife in close proximity. In striking contrast, Beyoglu’s less trafficked areas – such as the affluent Cihangir and the antiques district of Cukurcuma – exude Old World charm and provide contemplative calm and splendid diversion via an assortment of cozy cafes, attractive boutiques, and quiet lanes.
