Amazing hotel, just what I needed for a short break. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. My room was spacious, clean and the bathroom 😍 had everything I needed including water, tea and coffee sachets and a kettle. The breakfast was a hot and cold buffet with loads of choices as well as offering eggs made you your specifications. There’s nothing I can fault about this hotel and would highly recommend it.

Excellent location just a few minutes walk from Taksim square. We had a sea view room on the 11th floor. Quite spacious and clean but it smelled badly of cigarette smoke (although the hotel is non smoking!) Although the room was on the 11th floor, it was noisy. Towels were changed every day and rooms cleaned. The hotel decor is quite dated. Breakfast offered a variety of choice but no oat or almond milk. Same with yoghurt - just normal yoghurt and nothing lactose free.

This was a solid and clean hotel at a fantastic location! My friend and I weren't there for very long (we arrived late and left early in the morning), but I'd definitely recommend trying this out for yourself.

On our walk there, we had stopped to purchase some Turkish Delight at a local candy shop, only to walk a few feet more, and realize the front door to the hotel was right in front of us. In fact, the clerk who rang us up for the candy, checked us into the hotel. Very funny!

I'd definitely recommend you stay here: clean, modern, and great location!

The hotel is very closely located near taksim Square. Good rooms. Breakfast provided was ok. We had one room facing the Bhosporous river and the other city side. Decent restaurants , departmental stores, and shopping areas near the hotel.

A small hotel by Istanbul standards, the recently new 4 star Hotel "The Central Palace" combines ottoman elegance with modern comfort, service and style. The hotel is situated less than 5 minutes walk from the famous Istiklal Caddesi, next to Taksim Square. The location is superb as the hotel is situated on a traffic free street so you can enjoy a peaceful nights' sleep. Dont miss breakfast as the choice is amazing. The rooms are large, warm, spotlessly clean, with jacuzzi shower/bath, kitchenette and beautifully furnished. The hotel menus focus on healthy food which is predominant in the "wellbeing" restaurant. The room has a mini bar which is handy to make use of as the hotel doesnt serve alcohol!

I just came back from Istanbul where I stayed at the lovely Central Palace Hotel for 4 days to celebrate my 50th birthday.
I really loved this hotel. I was upgraded to a special room, which was huge, beautifully decorated and very comfortable. It was a twin room, with a large couch and a working area. The room had a fitness bycicle ( which I didn't use beacuse I am a bit lazy, lol). The bathroom was large, filled with marble, a jacuzzi tub, great quality and large towels, sleepers and nice robes. Everything was very luxurious, yet sober.
Staff were the best I ever found in any hotel, from the moment I contacted them for reservations, very friendly and helpful, always willing to answer our questions or requestsl. To my surprise, when I entered the room I had a wonderful birhtday cake with my name on it and lit candles , along with two bottles of mineral water. I was touched with it.
Maids always kept the room clean and shiny. There is a business center on a lower floor with 3 pcs providing free internet to guests.
Breakfast was excellent and plentiful, a large selection of cold and hot things, different breads, pasties, etc.
The location is very good, just a couple of minutres walk from Taksim Square. It also is a good value for money so I highly recommend it to anyone travelling to Istanbul. It's a great and beautiful hotel!

This marked our 15th stay in the Taksim area in Istanbul and also our first bad experience with a hotel.

This hotel's official rating is 4-star, whilst it sells itself (i.e. through booking.com) as 5-star. It claims all rooms have LCD TV: they do not, they have conventional 4:3 TVs.

Construction works next door to the hotel go on from early morning until 02:00 hours every day, including weekend. Works are scheduled to finish summer 2011. The work cost us 2 nights proper sleep, as they stopped at 2:00 hours and restarted at 07:00 hours.

We experienced both A/C and wireless internet problems, one night our A/C blew hot air only. Room temperature was an unchangeable 28C. The morning of 23 May the receptionist told us they had switched the A/C off centrally, as they had received complaints that rooms were too cold. In fact, we heard the technical engineer state that the whole system was down, which we also heard from other guests.

All in all: keep looking for another hotel. Oh and yes, this hotel requires payment in full upon arrival, which is also a first. It does however take any basis for reclamations out of your hand. Very clever indeed.

The only thing the hotel does have in its favour is its incredibly friendly staff, but that unfortunately does not compensate at all.

Response from TCPERDEM, Yönetici at The Central Palace

Thank you for your comments even most of them seen negative about our hotel. But again most of them about explanations made in other websites like booking.com. I would like to advise all traveller to check the hotels official websites at least once to see the correct information about hotels. Because officially our hotel is in special class hotel cathegory. According to official measurement only in our rooms we need to have the standards and amenities that 5 star hotels provides. We do not have a star rating directly. Second point is about LCD TV. We did have LCD TV in all our executive rooms, suite rooms and more than half of our standard rooms. We have made several attemps to correct this information on booking.com unfortunately we could succeed to correct the informations as they should be, after they carry the editorial section in Turkey . Inbetween we try to solve matter by upgrading rooms and providing rooms with LCD TV for the guests who made reservations through booking.com. There has been cases like Mr. Maurice Bakker which we could not succeed due to high occupancy. Meanwhile we changed all conventional TV 's and now we do have LCD TV in every room. About construction work nextdoor we have suffered as much as our guests. As they have allowence to construct and as we are not above the laws we just tried to keep it in balance and ask construction owners kindly to keep their work in reasonable times. But for some works it was not helpfull because especially digging and carrying the trash was only allowed to make at night time because those vehicles are not allowed to be in traffic within certain hours. We did not have their schedule of work and as there was no possibility to generalize the situation we had to face the situation a few times during construction process. It was periodical work that happened and now there is no more construction around us. We do apoligize from Mr Bakker once again we really wouldn't like to be remembered as bad experience for him.

This might be a late answer, but hope it helps someone else, the hotel is easily accessed using the Havabus or Havaist the bus usually will stop you either by point hotel or somewhere close behind the point hotel at their main stop, taking the left nearby the car rental shop and going straight towards the second block, it will be on your right (not more than a 5 mins walk)
