We bought the cheapest double room here for a weekend. Our room with an awesome Bosphorus view was cleaned daily with care. The safe didnt work but they replaced it the next day. Also the breakfast buffet was rich with western and turkish dishes. It was not a problem for us because we are not sensitive, but they host a...

Interesting location on the steep hill in local area. About 5 min walk to Kabatas tramway and ferry and about 10 min walk to Taksim square. From my observation, this hotel might be used mostly by Turkish travellers. Will not suggest to tourist who came for few days to explore the city. Minus: Breakfast buffet is somehow boring. Most of...

Room was good but there was no staff to help on arrival apart from the reception. Location was close to main town but such a remote Street that gave us scary feeling and all looked dead at 6 pm Breakfast was ok, no eggs to order option

It is clean and room are not too small. Breakfast buffet is poor but you can find something to eat. Staff are not very polite but they will provide all basic info you need. Anyway location is good it is five minute walk from main city square Taksim and metro station. With that metro line you can go easily to...

The view is fantastic and for local comparison the room was ok. I was there over the weekend and they had some live music which was nice. However, I was not able to attend as it was fully booked out. Would have someone let me know during the reservation I would have reserved the table upfront. Unfortunately, my room was...

I have just recently come back from a week vacation in Istanbul, staying at the Sed Hotel. Overall it is a decent hotel. You get what you pay for in terms of a 3 star hotel. The only thing that really lets the Sed down, is its staff and their lack of English and rude attitude to not being able...

Cheap and extremely nice hotel. Might be difficult to reach for older and disabled guests because of the amount of climbing required to reach taksim from the hotel. Otherwise, excellent hotel and really close to taksim and the ferry terminals

Staying in Beyoglu

Neighbourhood Profile
Beyoglu
Istanbul’s most famous street, pedestrianized Istiklal Caddesi (Independence Avenue), throbs day and night and offers a fantastic array of architectural sights, shops, treats, and throngs upon teeming throngs of people. At the avenue’s northeastern end is expansive Taksim Square, thought by many to be the very heart of the city, with many of Turkey’s most renowned restaurants and some of Europe’s most happening nightlife in close proximity. In striking contrast, Beyoglu’s less trafficked areas – such as the affluent Cihangir and the antiques district of Cukurcuma – exude Old World charm and provide contemplative calm and splendid diversion via an assortment of cozy cafes, attractive boutiques, and quiet lanes.
