This hotel is had horrible service. No welcome at the reception, their staff is rude and their basic amenities are not in place. Quite a walk from everywhere except Grand Bazaar. The Breakfast is the same every morning and tasteless, no vegetarian options. The transport options from the hotel are ridiculously priced. The wifi goes off every five minutes and...

We stayed for 6 days then went to Dalyan for a week and came back to Barin Hotel for the last 3 days- the staff very kindly let us leave an extra bag behind while we went to Dalyan. The first room we stayed in (408) was excellent- clean, aircon, good shower and enough space. The second one (414) was...

If u wanna have a pleasant stay in istanbul and enjoy your time, this could be the last hotel you wanna go to. I rank there service 3/10 but the worst part is that they have the worst staff and rudest at the same time. I wanted a late check out. But they only gave me one hour, despite the...

It's all about the location. If you plan to stay in the heart of Istanbul, while as well being in a calm area, this might be a cheap option for you. For a short stay just fine, for a longer one you should think twice. Anyway, we'd come to stay here again!

Staying in Grand Bazaar

Neighbourhood Profile
Grand Bazaar
Tourists, hawkers, and locals come together at the Grand Bazaar to comb its labyrinthine passageways in search of a bargain – be it a pair of brand name jeans, a handcrafted silk rug, or a perfectly brewed cup of tea. Outside the vast bazaar, worn, narrow streets wind their way down from its lofty perch to the southern shore of the Golden Horn, where the evocatively aromatic Spice Bazaar beckons alongside the elegant New Mosque (opened in 1665). Nearby, the famed Galata Bridge offers pedestrian access to urban delights across the river in Istanbul’s more residential and contemporary neighbourhoods, while the must-see sights of Sultanahmet are but a leisurely stroll away.
