We stayed here earlier this year we chose the hotels in Sultanahmet through booking.com arrived from the airport in the Sultanahmet district, a taxi driver, seeing these places, surprised and asked: How did you find this place? here even the police does not go. And in fact,...

Good location nice staff. Mustafa and Hassan at reception were very helpful. Most touristic places, Blue mosque, Grand Bazaar, , Hagia Sophia, Topkapı Palace Museum in Istanbul very close to hotel. Breakfast was good. Swimming pools are very small. Close to Tram & Metro. Din't give 5 *s because at times a/c was not good.

In the city so large for location but small compared to US standards. Strictly European. Nice staff. Old decor with adequate rooms for an overnight or short stay. Location was convenient to laical shops and sites.

This is our 5th holiday in Istanbul and we have always stayed at the Vicenza, its location is 2 minutes from the tram and located nicely away from the tourist area. The staff have always been very friendly and obliging. The rooms are clean and comfortable, we were disappointed that the 6th floor superior rooms have been converted into another...

This is a quality hotel. It is located close to a tramline and only a short walking distance from Suleymaniye (Suleiman's Mosque) and the Grand Bazaar; several other attractions are also not very far away. The hotel's restaurant is fine and there are also several other restaurants (some of them associated with other hotels) nearby.

Stayed here with my family for a week. It was amazing. The staff were friendly when we first got to the hotel, hotel was nice and clean. They did a nice selection of breakfast which was nice. It was literally a 15/20 min walk from the hotel to the grand bazaar so we would usually walk. Rooms were nice and...

This is a nice hotel, clean and comfortable rooms. Just 15-20 mins walk from grand bazar. It also has a fine restaurant if you want to eat in there. Not brand new furniture and they offer a pillow menu that they cant comply.

Staying in Grand Bazaar

Neighbourhood Profile
Grand Bazaar
Tourists, hawkers, and locals come together at the Grand Bazaar to comb its labyrinthine passageways in search of a bargain – be it a pair of brand name jeans, a handcrafted silk rug, or a perfectly brewed cup of tea. Outside the vast bazaar, worn, narrow streets wind their way down from its lofty perch to the southern shore of the Golden Horn, where the evocatively aromatic Spice Bazaar beckons alongside the elegant New Mosque (opened in 1665). Nearby, the famed Galata Bridge offers pedestrian access to urban delights across the river in Istanbul’s more residential and contemporary neighbourhoods, while the must-see sights of Sultanahmet are but a leisurely stroll away.
