The only good think about this property is its location. The rest is terrible. Plus - the "bar" prices its drinks as served in a real 5 star surroundings.

We were booked into this supposed 4* hotel by Turkish Airlines for 2 nights when they cancelled our flight. It is well located just off Taksim Square so bus and metro services are on the doorstep. Staff were reasonably friendly and helpful, rooms appeared to be clean but the hotel has all the charm of a left luggage depot. When...

Around Crystal Hotel you'll find a lot of other Internationl Hotels on Istanbul's "Hotel Island" just 50 m from the Havas Bus Istanbul Taskim Square. Around the hotel are a lot of nice and international Restaurants (japonese, frenh, turkish, thai, italian...) and the main shopping street is close. Good breakfast, normal rooms. 'Would come back.

I went to Istanbul on a work conference & was advised we were staying at the Crystal Hotel. All the reviews were not great so I was not expecting much. This hotel is a 5 min walk from Taksim Square. When I arrived at my room, I was pleasantly surprised. The rooms were a decent size & the beds &...

The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. Rooms are very clean and comfortable. Perfect location, close to everything and the view is amazing. The restaurant is very nice, with a variety of food, different than any other 4 stars hotel i stayed in before. I recommend this hotel for anyone wants to enjoy his/her stay in Istanbul whether with...

Everything was perfect , the hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. The house cleaning staff are very clean and neat. The hotel location is perfect close to everything, restaurants, cafes, supermarket and pharmacy. The hotel is quiet and you can have a good relaxation with the different services, the pool and massage everything and at the same time it...

We stayed here based on a recommendation from a friend. Either the place has gone downhill since she stayed there or we had some bad luck! The location is good if you want to stay in Taksim - very close to the main drag but quiet. However I would never stay in Taksim again - too crowded, crossing the street...

Staying in Beyoglu

Neighbourhood Profile
Beyoglu
Istanbul’s most famous street, pedestrianized Istiklal Caddesi (Independence Avenue), throbs day and night and offers a fantastic array of architectural sights, shops, treats, and throngs upon teeming throngs of people. At the avenue’s northeastern end is expansive Taksim Square, thought by many to be the very heart of the city, with many of Turkey’s most renowned restaurants and some of Europe’s most happening nightlife in close proximity. In striking contrast, Beyoglu’s less trafficked areas – such as the affluent Cihangir and the antiques district of Cukurcuma – exude Old World charm and provide contemplative calm and splendid diversion via an assortment of cozy cafes, attractive boutiques, and quiet lanes.
