Spent the first and last night of our tour here at the hotel. Rooms on both nights were a good size, shower area massive. Breakfast was great. Access to the place is difficult due to the narrow street the hotel is on. Lots of tourist shops around the area. Excellent service at the reception. Nice reception area. It was great...

We had a three-bed room and this was quite comfortable, although it did not have sufficient storage capabilities for three peoples' suitcases with all the clothes. Cleaning was sufficient. Breakfast was good, with some local specialties (e.g. cheese, pastries). The location is quite okay if you simply want to explore the historical parts of Istanbul (e.g. Sultanahmet, Hagia Sophia etc.),...

Good hotel, rooms were really nice and spacious. The shower was decadent and huge! The reception area is nice and welcoming, with plush couches and free wifi. Breakfast was a bit awkward, as the tables are canteen style, so when its busy you share a table with a person you don't know. They didn't replace cutlery with each plate, so...

Yigitalp Hotel is very well located in Istambul. It's near the Grand Bazaar, metro lines and train lines. The rooms are clean and nice, although it could have a bigger tv and better wi-fi. The mini bar is stocked with drinks and chocolate and the hotel restaurant is great. Breakfast is well served with breads, yogurt, eggs, sausages, coffee and...

We enjoyed our time at the Yigitalp. We found the rooms spacious, clean and perfectly comfortable. The location is fantastic, as we walked to all of the main attractions in the Old City. I don't have anything negative to say, except for the breakfasts - they were not great at all, but it didn't ruin our stay. Great location, great...

The staff were helpful and joyfully helpful with everything. When I had some congestion issues, the hotel manager quickly got me some Turkish Apple Tea and it cleared my sinuses instantly. When I needed to change my stay, the hotel gave a nice discount on the change. If I go back to Istanbul again, this is where I will stay....

Staying in Grand Bazaar

Neighbourhood Profile
Grand Bazaar
Tourists, hawkers, and locals come together at the Grand Bazaar to comb its labyrinthine passageways in search of a bargain – be it a pair of brand name jeans, a handcrafted silk rug, or a perfectly brewed cup of tea. Outside the vast bazaar, worn, narrow streets wind their way down from its lofty perch to the southern shore of the Golden Horn, where the evocatively aromatic Spice Bazaar beckons alongside the elegant New Mosque (opened in 1665). Nearby, the famed Galata Bridge offers pedestrian access to urban delights across the river in Istanbul’s more residential and contemporary neighbourhoods, while the must-see sights of Sultanahmet are but a leisurely stroll away.
