I have stayed in countless hotels around the world and this was one of the nicest. It is very conveniently located with most of the major sites and many restaurants within pleasant, easy walking distance. Our room was of average size, furnished to a high standard, very clean and with plenty of storage space. The bed was comfortable and they...

Everyone at this hotel is well trained to offer the guests a stay worth talking about for years to come. We switched hotels to this one when we were not satisfied with the original booking. The contrast between the two hotels is phenomenal. The appointments are absolutely beautiful. The entire staff knows the brief history of the artifacts found on...

Did major research & found this to be one of few higher-end options within walking distance to major sites. Pleasantly surprised by huge suite with hardwood floors, traditional "English" decor. Teens in adjoining double. Baths modernized & sleek. LOVED hearing the calls to worship - added to ambience & didn't disrupt sleep. Pleasant breakfast buffet on rooftop. Quiet & discreet....

This is a wonderful hotel with a well trained staff. AND its a quick one block walk down to the Sea of Marmara, which is a lovely walk. AND right up the street is a wonderful little souk that's much less frantic than the Grand Bazaar. AND they have a marvelous rooftop restaurant. This Hotel is a gem--a real find....

We stayed at the hotel for 7 nights and enjoyed it immensely! Our room was very well appointed and service was outstanding. Very friendly and efficient staff both in the restaurant and the reception. The location is perfect, only 5- 10 minutes walk to major attractions. Having breakfast at the roof-top restaurant was a wonderful experience to start your day....

We stayed here for 4 nights the end of August. We loved the hotel - friendly and helpful staff, the rooms were very lovely with slippers and robes. The rooftop terrace was a joy! Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighbourhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
