Was high on my wish list. Couldn't stay due to availability nevertheless visited the Historical Pera Palace for dinner with family. Went quite late at 10.50 PM which was around their closing time yet they were so courteous and allowed us to dine in. The food was awesome, one of the best that we have had during our entire Turkey Vacay. Spellbound by the ambiance and decor. The second oldest elevator in Europe is still operational. Should be a must-visit for first-timers in Istanbul.
Our family of four was booked into 2 rooms, and they were connecting and this turned into a fantastic "suite" with 2 private bedrooms, and a middle "living area". Perfect 2 minute walk to Istikal Street and we walked up to Taksim every evening. It's amazing how many people are on that street at any time of the day. We couldn't stop going into Hafiz Mustafa to stuff ourselves with Turkish Sweets and Ice cream. Perfect.
A stunning property with lots of old world charm, character and history Rooms were spacious and well furnished Breakfast variety of food was good and staff service was excellent Situation of the hotel is great just off all the major routes and a street away from the world famous Istiklal Street with easy access at all times ,day or night The outside garden cafe/restaurant has an excellent menu with great value The entertainment provided by Perin (Flower Flowers) was great . She is a very friendly and talented young lady
Our stay at the Pera Palace was literally magical in this hub of history and charm. We stayed in the “ Great Garbo” room and enjoyed every moment. Decor and cleanliness was impeccable. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast, lunch, afternoon coffee or dinner … in an environment what set you back to the night of the Orient Express Travel time. A big YES to the Pera Palace.
Historical building in prestigious neighborhood with quite a history behind. Top notch service, beautiful rooms . Great dining facilities and Iconic Orient Bar. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Amazing views , Beautiful outdoor terrace.
This is one of my favourite hotels. We have visited six times and will come back. Everything was perfect. Service is impeccable. The rooms are great and the ambience is incredible. It’s like stepping back in time and one can virtually feel and imagine the “Orient Express experience”. Many of the staff have been here for a long time and they seem to love the place. Congratulations and respect to Mr Eti, the General Manager for finding and running such a great, discrete and reliable team. Can’t wait to be back soon.
For somewhere with Michelin star stars the food was tasteless crap. Tomato soup like water and chicken caesar with no dressing. Absolutely horrible. Agatha Christie must of ate crap!!! Overpriced rubbish
It was a weekend girlfriend getaway for a birthday celebration. We wanted to enjoy the best Istanbul has to offer and this hotel didn't disappoint! I chose this hotel as it is in a beautiful location, overlooking the golden horn - get the high floors for the view. Our room has 2 single beds with limited room space for luggage. What I love with our room was the view, it had the perfect spot to look at sunset on a clear sky and the night city lights. Housed within the hotel is a museum as well, for the history buffs. The hotel is filled with antiques with the modern comfort easily available. We could walk to Taksim Square easily, with plenty of shopping and restaurants within walking distance. Location wise is just excellent with the subway close by. I would recommend this hotel for that special trip/stay.…
Was very much happy with service and service specially with special service of night manager Levent, and service staff Murat, security chief Mr yusuf, and whole staff. The night manager care of me a lot. Thanks a lot whole team
Sleeping in a museum hotel is a unique experience. The staff was great and a very special thanks to Mr. Levent, the night Manager, who makes me feel at home. Mr. Levent should be the General Manager without any question. I highly recommend a stay at Pera Palace Hotel
