This hotel has the best location ever! It is just behind the Blue Mosque, right across the road from Arasta Bazaar, a couple of minutes' walk from the Mosaic Museum, and not more a few minutes away from all the wonderful attractions of the area -- Hagia Sophia, Topkapi, Museum of Turkish and Islamic Art, etc. Also walking distance to... We stayed 4 nights at the Sultanahmet Palace, and really enjoyed it. You couldn't get a better location to explore sights like the Blue Mosque, Topkapi Palace, and Hagia Sofia, and a the Süleymaniye mosque or Grand Bazzar, all easily. The room wasn't the biggest we have ever stayed in, but very clean and comfortable, with a stunning sea view... More

First stayed here in 2008, and after staying at a couple of chain hotels on subsequent visits, I looked forward to staying here again. If you want Turkish atmosphere and charm, this is it. A complaint to the manager was dealt with immediately and wine and a fruit platter was delivered to our room. Retreating from the bustle of Istanbul... More

This place is truly unique for its location, its look and its view from the terrace! Apart from that, there are some small things that made me only give 4 stars. The bathrooms are small and by small I mean it's almost impossible to close the door without standing in the shower. Second is that the breakfast choice is neither... More

The location alone is a reason to stay at this hotel, which is in a very old building and has classic architecture. The gardens and terraces surrounding it are lovely, including sitting areas and a restaurant that overlook the Marmara Sea. We stayed here twice--before and during an Overseas Adventure Travel tour, and after the tour ended. It is right... More

I loved our stay in this hotel very much. The staff members were very well trained in customer service. The room was fantastic, very clean and very comfortable and the amenities provided were essentially enough. The breakfast & location was excellent!

Situated a three minute walk from the Blue Mosque and just across the park to the Agha Sofiya and right next to a good bazaar, this has got to be one of the best situated hotels in Istanbul. Our room with balcony on the top floor (they asked us on first checking in whether we wanted a balcony or bigger... More

Nice, quiet hotel, very clean with nice public spaces. Room was small but very clean and nicely done. Located across from a small shopping bazaar, right at the edge of the Blue Mosque and lots of site seeing and shopping. Beautiful breakfast terrace with water view. Felt very safe and well taken care of here. Good value - great location!

Definitely, the best possible location you could wish for in the old part of Istanbul's Sultanahmet area. In the proximity key of the coveted Sultanahmet Four Seasons Hotel, this unique period architecture hotel in the Ottomoan style is within walking distance of the famous Mosaic Museum, Blue Mosque and wonderful ottoman bazarr luring in visitors from all over the world... Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighbourhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
