This hotel is very comfortable with friendly, helpful staff, especially the reception staff. It is only a few minutes walk to the major historic sites and lots of restaurants. There are fabulous views from the rooftop restaurant/

Four of us stayed in the hotel for 7 nights. After a slight hiccup with the allocation of rooms, everything was perfectly arranged and to everyones satisfaction. The hotel location is super-central and the staff super-helpful, giving us answers to all our questions, and suggesting ways to spend a fabulous vacation in Istanbul. When we visit Istanbul again we shall...

I enjoyed my stay at this boutique hotel within a short walk of the historic sites and restaurants. The staff at the front desk were engaging and helpful. The breakfast featured an ample variety of offerings in a lovely breakfast room. There was an upstairs dining area, which will no doubt be a lovely venue in warmer weather. The rooms...

Location: Couldn't be better, right in the historical core of Istanbul ... two and a half blocks to Hagia Sofia, Blue Mosque, underground cistern ... a short walk to the Sultanahmet tram stop (Also close to Gülhane stop but is an uphill walk to the hotel) ... yet is on a quiet side street. Tram very useful for returning from...

This hotel is the perfect location if you want to explore the old city. You are minutes from the main attractions of the old quater, no taxis needed. The hotel staff were incredibly friendly and helpful and made our stay very enjoyable, offering suggestions, recommendations and organising reservations and transport. I would definately stay again with them.

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighbourhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
