Generally everything is fine, very friendly and always willing personnel, breakfast buffet is perfect, clean and tidy of the rooms is more/less suitable, but could be better, for our opinion, it's better to book standard rooms than suite or luxe - almost the same by quality, but price is differrent. Actually, we've been stay at this hotel several times already,...

When we arrived in Istanbul, we were unsure how to get to the hotel. We discovered we could buy jetons and take the train (with one change) to Saltanamet station. From there, we walked to the hotel. It's located a few roads behind the Blue Mosque in a cute street. We arrived late but we didn't realize they take 30%...

Located in the very center (3mins to Sultanahmet meydani) in the cosy clean streat, Angel's Home Hotel is a real example of hospitality and good quality service. Nice breakfasts, good rooms. Check a spectacular view of the Bosphorus and Sea of Marmara as well as of two pearls of Fatih district: Blue Mosque and AyaSofya from the roof terrace.

Just spent 5 days at The Angels Home hotel in old Istanbul, staff were excellent and the hotel was very comfortable and clean. Everything is so close food and drink within 50 metres, Blue Mosque and Sultan Ahmet Square 400 metres away. Best way to get around get an Istanbul Card and get the tram, so cheap

If you are looking for quality, it is what you want. The location is central, walking distance to the historical Roman (Byzantium) and Ottoman palaces, museums and amazing historical artifacts. You can enjoy the breath-taking view of Bosphorus and Marmara sea at the terrace of the hotel and enjoy your glass of vine. The owner, Selami, is very friendly and...

This hotel is fine if you can manage the stairs, there is no lift. That was not a problem for us and the staff carried our luggage up to the 4th floor. We had a suite and found the decoration a bit strange...but that is a matter of taste of course. besides that, everything was very good...we only wish we...

Located at the city centre and just within walking distance to the famous tourist attractions in Istanbul, this hotel surely doesn't break your wallet. The staffs are very very friendly and helpful, everything is provided just at par with your expectations for a boutique hotel. The breakfast is yummy, and prepared by friendly and nice ladies at the cafe. The...

During a 7 days vacation with my family, we have decided to stay in this hotel as it had a great location and quite a good ranking on TripAdvisor. Unfortunately I was extremely disappointed as the hotel was the everything but good. It was one of the dirtiest hotels I have ever seen (and I am a frequent business traveler)....

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighbourhood Profile
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
