We stayed in the suite room. The Staff is very courteous and location cant be compared. Its across the street from istiklal and a 2 min walk from Taksim square. Rooms are very clean and spacious. The staff is quite knowledgeable of the locations and willing to help at all times. Breakfast was decent but there was scope for improvement....

For what we paid for, this hotel was great. The only issue I had with it was getting stuck in the elevator three of four times! staff members were especially helpful. The area tends to be a little too busy that makes sleeping before midnight really hard.

Last year we had been to Istanbul for a medical conference. We had booked into Hotel Taximtown. We were greeted with courtesy and the front office staff were very co-operative.The rooms were well equipped except there was no milk to add to the tea. It is not a custom to add milk to the tea there. But the staff were...

Very good location (near Taxim place), newly refurbished, most of rooms are small and for all rooms is better to have the windows closed, due to the "view" (all the nearby buildings are under destruction) the noise and the smell. The cleanliness was good, but do no expect something special; it is a small hotel OK to spend 2-3 days...

I stayed for 4 nights at the Taksim Town Hotel and I was really pleased. Staff tries very hard to please, their English is not perfect, but they are friendly, attentive and hardworking. My room was spotless clean, bathroom too, bedsheets felt like silk, and the color selection of the room was serene and lovely. Noise is a problem on...

Staying in Beyoglu

Neighbourhood Profile
Beyoglu
Istanbul’s most famous street, pedestrianized Istiklal Caddesi (Independence Avenue), throbs day and night and offers a fantastic array of architectural sights, shops, treats, and throngs upon teeming throngs of people. At the avenue’s northeastern end is expansive Taksim Square, thought by many to be the very heart of the city, with many of Turkey’s most renowned restaurants and some of Europe’s most happening nightlife in close proximity. In striking contrast, Beyoglu’s less trafficked areas – such as the affluent Cihangir and the antiques district of Cukurcuma – exude Old World charm and provide contemplative calm and splendid diversion via an assortment of cozy cafes, attractive boutiques, and quiet lanes.
