Just came back from trip to beautiful Istanbul. Based on previous reviews I stayed at this hotel. Excellent location & 5 stars service. Superb. They all went out of their way to help me with personal matters. I was & still am touched. Because of continuous construction around the area it's little bid noisy just bring ear plugs if you... We can't thank the staff at Elanaz enough for making our 6 nights in Istanbul so perfect. I felt like Erdem was our personal genie in a bottle. We said that we missed chocolate chip cookies, and, after we were unsuccessful in our hunt for them in various bakeries, POOF, Erdem appeared with freshly baked chocolate chip cookies from Didim... What a fantastic experience. From the moment we arrived (front doors held open for us, luggage taken up to room while we checked in, greeted by your name, smiles and beautifully presented Turkish Delight treats!) until the moment we left (chatted to while we waited for our transfer back to the airport and presented with a special leaving gift and... We were there over the New Year weekend and found Elanaz to be highly rated on a number of similar websites. They have friendly staff who are courteous and always helpful and nice clean rooms. The manager gave us excellent tips on places to eat close to the hotel and we were a short walk away from most of the... More

Hotel Elanaz is a small family-run hotel. Newly established and modern in design and interior. The rooms are very nice, and the suite on the top floor is superb with a fantastic view over The Golden Horn and Bosporus! The location cant be better, just between the main rail station and the waterfront (with ferries to Asia and the Bridge... More

Spent a few days at this wonderful little hotel in Sirkeci and loved the stay. The staff is very friendly and helpful and assisted us in every possible way. The breakfast buffet is good as well. Doesn't come with all the amenities you find at larger hotels but the service and quality of stay compensate very well. I would stay... More

My husband and I loved this hotel. The rooms are modern and clean. The staff are friendly and helpfull and gave us maps and pamphlets which were very usefull. The breakfast is more than ample. The location for sightseeing is great. The only reason that I did not give it 5/5 is that we were in the economy room which... More

Extremely close to the old city - not even 5 min walk to the palace! The room is minimalist/modern-inspired and well-functioned. Great view if you get a Bosphorus view one. Love the big shower and the free wi-fi. But the best was the super-friendly staff members, who were always ready and eager to help. I can't put down in words... More

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighbourhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
