Best to take a taxi to find it. Quiet, comfortable but very slightly shabby and things may fall off! Very helpful staff. Would go again. Wifi doesn't work in upper floors. Breakfast with wonderful roof top views.

This hotel is certainly in a fabulous location, close to all the tourist sites and good for walking around the city and close to the tram, it is easy to find your way back to the hotel - obelisk end of hippodromes turn right and left at Chinese lanterns is the street. The staff are extremely helpful especially Ali, Gem...

The room we were given a very large room on the third floor, which was very comfortable, and kept immaculate by the cleaning staff. The bath needs some attention because it is showing signs of rust and wear, and it would have been nice to view various English speaking news channels on the tv. However, the staff were excellent, and...

This hotel is probably a 2 or 3 star. The property is old, the rooms very basic and they seem a little tired and worn out. There was a little mold in the bathroom/shower. That being said the staff are very friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet is adequate and is on the rooftop. There is a working treadmill in...

We stayed here for three nights. At first the staff seemed frienly. The airconditioning in the room wasn't working and the room seemed really old and unrenovated yet clean. There was some noise at night from the roof terrace. So far everything was tolerable, but then we left some clothes for them to wash as they advertise a laundry service....

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighbourhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
