Large, modern room overlooking the Hagia Sophia mosque, great breakfast, located in the Old City, an easy walk to sights, restaurants, etc., as stated in other reviews ( I'm a slow typist, so I won't duplicate). ATM's are everywhere in Istanbul; most give only Turkish Lira, but multi-currency ATMs are conveniently located right in front of the hotel. Be sure...

It's one of the nice and closest hotel to all attraction in Istanbul Old City. Blue mosque and Hagia Sophia is around 100 meters away. Guest services was very good but Buffet Breakfast is Ok. View of Hagia Sophia from the Hotel is wonderful.

Nice large room with a view over the Hagia Sophia mosque. Excellent breakfast. The hotel is a few meters from the main attractions of Istanbul. There are a lot of restaurants nearby, inclusive good and cheap alternatives. The place is much better than Taksim!

Amazing service with some of the friendliest staff I have ever had while staying at a hotel. When they say they are very close to the attractions, they mean it - I could see the Hagia Sofia from my bedroom. Everything in the room is modern and very well maintained. I highly recommend staying at this hotel.

This hotel is in 90's style and the inside looks slightly dated but the location is superb being just 4 minutes from Sultanhamet main Square, the Hagia Sophia museum/church and yards from the (underground) 6th C. Basilica Cistern and trams. Taxis find it a bit tricky to locate so recommend let the hotel book it from/to the airport. (39 Euro...

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighbourhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
