We spent 5 days in Istanbul(4 nights). We were looking for a nice, cosy hotel, near Istiklal street and most of public transportation. We found Nuru Ziya suites and we proved right.A modern hotel, very near to Istiklal,5 minutes from the Sishane station,10 minutes from the Tophane tram station(T1),which is the line to the historical center and the main monuments(Hagia Sofya,Topkapi,Yerebatan). We booked a junior suite,in...

I agonised whether to stay in this area or in the 'Old" & with the benefit of hindsight believe this was the best choice. These apts are in a great location giving easy access to the 'other side' which is must see but very touristy by night. By use of the Istanbulkart (which is essentially the room key) transportation (...

My wife and I stayed at Nuru Ziya for three nights in early November 2015. Our experience with the hotel staff was excellent for everyone except for one evening clerk who was perfectly fine if not a little indifferent. Everyone else went beyond expectations and were exceedingly nice without being overbearing. The hotel itself is designed in a very modern...

Really good nice clean rooms. Locations is excellent. Very near to the lively Istaklal street and also a short walk from the tram station. The staff was friendly. They also kept our bags for 3 days when we were flying to Antalya. Tip: Book for four nights from their website and get a free airport transfer.

Lovely boutique hotel. The room was spacious including small kitchenette, smart TV, & an iPad for our use. Breakfast was plentiful, we loved the fresh orange juice. Best of all was the staff who went above and beyond to help us any way they could and made us feel at home. Location is 5 minutes walk from Istkilal street (Pedestrian...

I loved the stay in Nuru Ziya Suites. The place is super cool, with modern design, comfortable rooms and equipment at your disposal. They give you Istanbulcard to use during your stay, which is very convenient. And the location is very convenient if you want to be in the centre of the nightlife.

I couldn't recommend this place enough, to summarise. We stayed for a week and were greeted with a good dilemma..."would you mind being upgraded to the executive suite?"... Tough break. Even when we were downgraded (so to speak) later in the week we were very happy with our accom. The hotel is very clean, the free breakfast was varied and...

Staying in Beyoglu

Neighbourhood Profile
Beyoglu
Istanbul’s most famous street, pedestrianized Istiklal Caddesi (Independence Avenue), throbs day and night and offers a fantastic array of architectural sights, shops, treats, and throngs upon teeming throngs of people. At the avenue’s northeastern end is expansive Taksim Square, thought by many to be the very heart of the city, with many of Turkey’s most renowned restaurants and some of Europe’s most happening nightlife in close proximity. In striking contrast, Beyoglu’s less trafficked areas – such as the affluent Cihangir and the antiques district of Cukurcuma – exude Old World charm and provide contemplative calm and splendid diversion via an assortment of cozy cafes, attractive boutiques, and quiet lanes.
