I stayed the Standard Double Room with Sea View for 3nights. This guesthouse provides following 4 god / bad points. 1. Good one is the extremely beautiful sea view. You can enjoy it at the window of #303 "through the public space". It means the location of #303 is just a little bit abnomal, but it is not a big...

The owner was very nice and really helpful. He also owned the convenience shop below the hotel, so everything was nice and easy. Room was small but excellent value for money, and perfectly located. Close to everything and easy to walk to the Hagia Sofia, Blue Mosque, and Topkapi palace, as well as about a 10 minute walk away from...

Chora guest house in Istanbul was a perfect and clean little hotel for us in Istanbul. The sheets were crisp and white and the beds were really comfortable. The rooms are very small but there is free internet and there is too much to do in Istanbul anyway. From the outside Chora certainly does not look like much and i...

Hotel is located in the centre of Old City, only 5 min by walk to Blue Mosque and other wonderful places. But street is quet, you can sleep well. Design of the hotel - typical turkish house, very cozy. Very helpful and friendly staff. You can order transfer, buy everything in the shop downstairs, ask everything. Amazing view from terrace...

I walked into Chora Guesthouse while I was in Istanbul and bought two nights -- ended up staying for six. The owner speaks excellent English and was very friendly, as well as accommodating to changes in my plans. The place is kept very clean, and in fact is reminiscent of a hotel in that regard, but with a more personal...

The owner is very accommodating, speaks good English, keeps very clean rooms and makes a good breakfast. It is very quiet for good sleeps and is a block off the very...

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighbourhood Profile
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
