Karaköy rooms offers very big and spacious rooms. If you have the chance choose rooms with a view and top floor! Breakfast is offered in their restaurant around the corner. It's typical Turkish and has a very good selection. If you have a chance go also for dinner as their 'Mezze' and 'Fish' offerings is very good! We felt very...

I came to Turkey for a solo motorcycle trip that began/ended in Istanbul, so I ended up staying here twice; by the end, it felt like a home away from home. The hotel location is fantastic. It's a little difficult to find the first time (the door is right next to the Karakoy Lokantsi (restaurant), which is owned/operated by the...

A great location in a trendy neighbourhood. The staff were very polite and helpful. It's decorated very tastefully- modern, clean and classy. A delicious breakfast is served just around the corner in a lovely restaurant- the best we had during our stay in Istanbul/Buyukada.

I had booked the place for my boyfriend's birthday. Unfortunately our flight was right after the attacks so it was cancelled and we couldnt come. The staff was super nice about it and refunded me the whole stay. They're obviously very honest which is not so comin within this industry. Thanks guys!

This hotel is probably the only one you exactly get what you see on the pictures - a dream! A simple but even more stylish property right in front of Bosporus in the up-and-coming Karakoy area where a lot of cute bars and restaurants are located. In a few years this area will be THE it place. Proof of that...

Karaköy Rooms in Istanbul may not quite be a hotel—there is no room service—but it is certainly more than a collection of rooms. The hostelry with its restaurant is located, as its name suggests in the Karaköy district of the great city. This neighborhood on the northeastern bank of the Gold Horn is landmarked by the famous Galata Tower and...

We fell in love with the interior design and quality finishes of this apartment. The restaurant downstairs is very famous and packed for dinner so it was good that we get to have our breakfast there every morning. Everyone from front desk to restaurant owners were very friendly and helpful. We also got a brilliant recommendation to a 'five star'...

Many other reviewers have commented about how perfect this is as a place to stay in Istanbul. Karakoy is a happening area of the city five minutes walk from the Galata bridge and tram to Sultanahmed. The staff at Karakoy rooms are friendly and super-helpful, the rooms themselves are wonderful. Our room on the six floor with a sea view...

The hotel staff showed exceptional service standards from the moment we stepped into the lobby (in fact at streetside) and right through. Reasonably close to the tourist nerve centre of Istanbul, yet separated by a long bridge with a lot of restaurants close by. Big rooms and decorated in old traditional style, this was a most satisfying stay at a...

Staying in Karakoy

Neighbourhood Profile
Karakoy
Sitting pretty with an age-old air about it, Karakoy is situated on the European side of the Bosphorus at the mouth of the Golden Horn. Perhaps the city’s most historically significant area, it’s currently one of the most happening parts of town as well. Here street vendors and alfresco fish restaurants line the banks of the Horn where the views of major attractions across the water rival Karakoy’s own key attractions, such as the iconic 14th century Galata Tower and the Museum of Modern Art. A major hub for local and international waterborne traffic, Istanbul’s commercial and maritime heritage remains as relevant and evident as ever in Karakoy. Commuter ferries mingle with luxury cruise liners at its busy port, ensuring a continuously cosmopolitan flow of people..
