We stayed here for five nights on our recent trip to Istanbul.
The first thing I want to do is to state this hotel's strong points:
1) Its location cannot be beaten. It is about as central as you can get for the Blue Mosque,...More
I have mixed feelings about giving the Aristocrat only 3 out of 5. 3.5 would be a better reflection. The location is perfect, with the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia right on your doorstep. The staff was helpful and friendly and I feel we got...More
Great boutique style hotel with modern touches and updated finishings. Great rooftop terrace with nice views. Cheery breakfast room with full breakfast. There's an elevator and air conditioning. Staff were all very nice. Fabulous views from our room. The only reason I didn't give it...More
Super little hotel with very friendly and helpful staff within yards of the Blue Mosque and many tourist shops and restaurants. Rooms are clean and the buffet breakfast is adequate. It doesn't serve food on the rooftop but that doesn't really matter.

With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to
retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
