I stayed two nights. The location of the hotel was very convenient for me to cover all my meetings in one day. Metro stop is within couple minutes walk. Excellent view, large size room, and clean. Zeynep has been courteous and helpful. I would highly recommend this lovely place on all aspects.

This place is great. It's near Galata Tower which is a great landmark to be beside as everyone knows where it is. I stayed there for five days and not only was the hospitality fantastic and the room gorgeous but room service was very good and the place in general was quiet and calm. Never visited Istanbul before and was...

My husband & I stayed for 4 nights in a one bedroom apartment and it was perfect. Centrally located, clean, elevator, excellent wifi. It is on the hilly side but nothing that can't be managed. Close to transport, restaurants & the main avenue.Zeynap was very helpful with bookings & recommendations. We would definitely stay here again.

I have visited Istanbul numerous times, but stayed for the first time in Serdar-i-Ekrem 59 this summer. I was very impressed, and will return for future stays. The location and quality of the rooms are two things that I liked the most. The location is in a quite street, but at the same time close to everything. The rooms are...

A very enjoyable stay here with amazing hospitality. The property are Studio apartments with great Character. The interior walls are the original walls and add amazing character to the place. I would recommend this place and I hope to go back there next year. Since these are studio apartments you do not get breakfast included but you have your own...

My wife and I stayed at Serder-i Ekrem 59 in June 2013, and couldn't have had a better week in Istanbul. The property is ideally placed, with the cafes, bars and restaurants of Galata right on your doorstep. Great places, whether you want breakfast or a beer. The main sights of the city are all within easy reach and Istiklal...

We booked two rooms for our first ever trip to Istanbul for a long weekend .... and so it was based on reviews here and on booking.com .... and we were not at all disappointed. We were in touch with the Manager Zeynep before we travelled .... she is a super helpful lady. One great tip was to book our...

If you're looking for central, stylish, and affordable accommodation in Istanbul, then look no further. My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights at the start of a 2.5 week trip around Turkey, and we were thrilled with the place. Serdar-i Ekrem 59 is in a great location, only a stone's throw from Galata Tower and the main shopping...

My partner and I stayed here in early May for 5 nights on the back of all the positive reviews on Tripadvisor and can only say that it was 100% the right decision. Firstly the location which - as others have commented - is ideal , on a quiet and charming road, but within easy walking distance of numerous bars,...

Location is excellent with easy walking access to the popular tourist destinations. The tram is also nearby. Its in a quaint up and coming residential neighbourhood which is great for a wander to explore the trendy shops, coffee shops, restaurants and pubs. The apartment building is old but refurbished very well with style...all details covered. I stay in hotels often...

Staying in Beyoglu

Neighbourhood Profile
Beyoglu
Istanbul’s most famous street, pedestrianized Istiklal Caddesi (Independence Avenue), throbs day and night and offers a fantastic array of architectural sights, shops, treats, and throngs upon teeming throngs of people. At the avenue’s northeastern end is expansive Taksim Square, thought by many to be the very heart of the city, with many of Turkey’s most renowned restaurants and some of Europe’s most happening nightlife in close proximity. In striking contrast, Beyoglu’s less trafficked areas – such as the affluent Cihangir and the antiques district of Cukurcuma – exude Old World charm and provide contemplative calm and splendid diversion via an assortment of cozy cafes, attractive boutiques, and quiet lanes.

“The ground floor apartment in which we stayed was the most affordable. Inevitably, being at ground level there was some noise from the road, but this was hardly problematic. I assume that the higher floors have a better view, but the ground floor was convenient and well priced.”

“Actually stayed in August, 2013, but am only writing the review now, as I am catching up on my backlog of reviews that I have to do. The system only allows me to put October, 2013 as the earliest I stayed. We had the top room, with spectacular views of the water and the Old City. Really spectacular. Zeyneb, the manager, was also very helpful. The room has a lot of character, the air conditioning worked very well and so did the WiFi. This is not a place for businessmen or older people to stay, however. There is no breakfast, though there are shops right down the street. However, the main issue is that you have to walk up a very big hill to get to the hotel if you take the tram to Tophane or you have to walk up a hill to get to the Sishane metro. The hotel is down a trendy street, but is very quiet. Taxis may have trouble finding it if they don't use their GPS. If you don't mind not getting breakfast and you don't mind the walk up hills, this is a very nice place to spend a few days and I wholeheartedly recommend the top floor with the great views!”
