Hoyek is in the middle of everything very close to main attractions. The service is amazing, the people are really nice offering us tea or coffee at every time of the day or night. The rooms are exactly as shown in the pictures, quite small but this is typicall for istanbul. Heating is working (very important in winter time) and...

I booked this hotel through Expedia because it looked simple and clean. I was not disappointed! The hotel is at very convenient location in sultanahmet near the tram rail and right next to the Gulhane park/Topkapi palace (a must see)! Minutes from the blue mosque or the Aya Sophia and several places to eat around there! Hotel itself is run...

Very good location (near to important turistic places. Very friendly and helpful staff. Small rooms. cleaning of the room could be improved. Bathroom good size comparing with the room. No lift, so bad luck if your room is in third floor. Breakfast very good and varied.

Our stay at Minel Hotel was fantastic. This was our first time in Turkey and staying there was the best. Not only is it within a two minute walk of all the sights in Sultanahmet (Topkapi, Aya Sofia, Blue Mosque) it is very close to the Metro. The staff were all very helpful both before our trip while we were...

The design of hotel is cool! It is convenient to the sightseeing points. Most importantly is the staff there. They are so nice and I'm happy to make friend with them. This kind of warm feeling cannot be found in those so called "5 stars" hotel. I strongly recommend it!!!

Pros - Excellent location for tourists ( blue mosque and aya sofia are 5 mins walk, tram station is 2 mins, lots of eating options nearby) but relatively quiet neighborhood. You'll not have any problems sleeping. - Reception staff were helpful and warm - Rooms were clean and well maintained - Breakfast was decent, nothing exquisite but enough for you...

Minel Hotel in Sultanahmet area is in a great location. Almost perfect location I would say because even if it's in the middle of the touristic area the rooms are quite silent during the night (only the slight sound of a tram can disturb you - but I wasn't bothered). The rooms are very small but the bed is big...

We had such a lovely time here. The staff are genuine, super friendly and helpful. The hotel was clean and breakfast tasty. Make sure you try the hot cheese pastry. The rooms were recently fitted out - a little small but the bathroom was big enough (and clean). Exactly like the photos. The location is great. Walking distance to major...

We spent 4 nights at the Minel Hotel and we loved it. From the first moment we felt warmly welcomed and at any time the service was great. Although the hotel was centrally located and just a few minutes away from all the main attractions, it was really quiet. Rooms were very clean and the breakfast was delicious. The only...

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighbourhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
