I've just come back from Istanbul, where I stayed at the Blue Tuana Hotel. It turned out to be a great choice. We booked a twin bedroom, but upon arrival we were given a bedroom with a double+ twin beds. This leaves not much spaces to move around, but since we were 2 people it was OK. We stayed in...

The staff at Blue Tuana couldn't do enough for us - whatever questions we had they had the answers, any help we needed they were there for us. The breakfast meze on the terrace was a great way to start the day, with unbeatable views of the Blue Mosque, Aya Sofya and the Marmara Sea. Rooms were cleaned daily and...

The Blue Tuana is a short walk to Topkapi Palace, Blue Mosque, Aya Sofia, and the tramway, as well as a street of excellent restaurants. The rooms aren't large -- they're the typical size for older European hotels. Breakfast was excellent, on a terrace with million-dollar views of the Blue Mosque and Marmara Sea. Best of all was the extremely...

The Blue Tuana Hotel is situated close to all the sightseeing areas in Sulthanamet (Blue Mosque, Hagia Sofia, Basilica Cistern. The room was an adequate size as we only really got in late at night. The rooms were cleaned daily and the bed was comfortable. Would recommend to anyone to stay here

The hotel is in a great location for seeing the sights in the Sultanahmet district. Friendly helpful staff. Rooms were clean. Buffett breakfast included. Beware there is no elevator. 5 flights of stairs to our room but did have great views. There is no kettle to boil water for tea or coffee.

The hotel is only 10 minutes away by walk from the Sultanahmet square (Hagia Sophia/Blue Mosque) and there are many restaurants/bars nearby. Since we visited in the off-peak season, we were able to negotiate a cheap price; might otherwise have been priced out of staying here. The hotel has an excellent rooftop view where we had drinks a couple of...

I stayed at Blue Tuana for 2 weeks whilst I was working at the Istanbul Kulturi University. The staff were superb, very friendly, the hotel was always clean and warm. Following the end of my project, my wife joined me for a 4 day break. The location was excellent, within walking distance of the "must sees", and close to a...

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighbourhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.

“Stay on the 5th flr so that others dont disturb you ! But bear in mind no elevator . Pl bear in mind this is only for the proximity of the Blue mosque/ Aya Sophia . Definitely NOT to relax ,enjoy n easy going holiday . It is only meant to come in and Sleep after a long tiring day ! Certainly Not worth the money one has to pay !”
