Stayed here with my significant other for 5 days and absolutely loved it! Stayed September of 2015 and the weather was amazing during this time. This location was so convenient and close to everything we wanted to see. Although it was confused with another hotel with a similar name with the cab drivers, it was still fine. Friendly staff. They...

We were recommended to stay here by our close friends and it was a great experience. The hotel is neat, have great service and the food is amazing. Most importantly, the hotel is strategically located near all the main city attractions. Make sure you mark the hotel location when you go out since the streets are quite confusing and we...

Great personal treatment during our stay. The place is nicely located near all the places we want to visit. It is clean and safe, and room rates are reasonable. All the staff are nice and friendly. We will not forget Bakshir who gave us full personal attention more than what we expected. He showed us how to get around the...

Don't expect a lot from this hotel. Very old beds, rooms were compact and we upgraded 2 times to get the one as big as the room we had. Breakfast was so so, Desk person tried to be very helpful but there was a big language barrier. We had such high hope for this hotel. It was the last leg...

Was somewhat leery about prior reviews and almost changed hotels before arriving .We're very glad we didn't. For the price, service, cleanliness, great breakfast buffet and above all the centrality of the place, its a home run.The desk is a bit short on english and long on sincerity and effort......we managed reservations for restaurants, cabs,a boat trip and a Turkish bath without issue..And best...

This hotel was booked in a package (through a travel site which usually offers good hotels, but this one was a disappointment. The location is not bad, but not too good either, the streets leaving the hotel towards one side are decent, but I would feel scared if I took the streets going the other way (especially in the evening...

The hotel is in a good condition. The price is reasonable considering that breakfast is included. The breakfast was just breakfast, what I loved from the breakfast was the fruits. The rooms are clean. It is near most of the tourists attractions.

I had two stays here - at the start and at the ending of my 3 weeks in the Middle East. Both rooms were small (even by Middle-East Standards), but more troubling was the lack of maintenance (burned out light-bulbs), and the lack of staff being able to communicate in English. One of the front desk attendants is reasonably good...

The room was clean, breakfast was ok, it would have been nice if the capuccino machine had worked. A few little repairs in the bathroom would be good. The location is great, the staff very friendly. Anyway we made the reservation via HRS and they market the Sultan Palace as 4 star hotel. It is definitely not 4 stars. The...

I choose this hotel, because it is in 5 minute walk from the Blue Mosque, Aya Sofia, Topkapi Palace etc. For an affordable price, you get a clean room with nice furnitures, a very good breakfast, and a helpful, kind staff. Our room had a strange layout with a corridor-like part leading to the window (French balkony), and therefore it...

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighbourhood Profile
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
